Cashing in on Forward Entries

We got this.

The stats don't lie. We are dominating in many areas. We need to CAPITALISE.

Once we do we will be unstoppable.

I can’t even get inside 50 - paywall.

Anything insightful in the article? Thanks in advance.

tl;dr

- we are on track to break Essendon's inside 50 entry in 2000 record

- we score more than any other team

- we also score the most behinds

- contested style leads to congestion

- Goodwin says that's part of the challenge abd learning

On Wednesday tiers wrote under Umpires Report:

If we could only get maximum return from our inside 50s and not squander them as against Geelong, GC, St K, PA and Freo we would not need to add much to our backline and we would have three more wins.

Dare to dream.

Nice to know the hun reads this site. Acknowledgement would be nice.

Even the most pessimistic Melbourne fan would acknowledge the statistical dominance we have in so many areas but equally that is exactly why it’s frustrating we are in the position we’re in right now.

IF (and it is a big if) we can start to spot up targets (we actually have a very capable forward line) we can turn this upward very quickly. Every week is a new challenge, this week has to be aimed at building on what we did last week and making the most of our chances.

Dumb simple thing to say but the more times we do actually use our forward entries positively, the less pressure our defence will be under.
