Interesting.

Adelaide and Carlton on one end. Brisbane and Richmond on the other. 

Richmond is becoming increasingly suss. Can't think of a better run.

    Makes me think of Nassim Taleb (of the 'black swan' effect).  Randomness suggests that the good run is just a coincidence series.  When they crash, they can crash hard and if this is one of the key reasons they have been successful, then the 'crash' can be a wipeout for them.  Consider long term injuries to Rance, Martin, Cotchin and Reiwoldt in one weekend.  It is as possible as their good run continuing.

    Perhaps we are better being near the mean - which we may be approaching after our good run - and being able to cope by having functional depth.

    Also, games lost does not reflect the quality of the games lost.  Would you prefer a game lost to Viney or to Maynard?  To Gawn or to King?

    Richmond’s charmed injury run continues, fair to say that Viney is our most important midfielder, I wonder how Richmond would be going if they lost the same amount of games from Dusty as we have with Jack.

    Richmond had no injuries last year either, while we were slaughtered.

    If that  was swapped over we would be 2017 premiers and they'd have finished 9th.

Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read.
