I'm hoping the Saints/Tigers game in round 23 is massive for both teams. Hoping for a draw and they both miss out.

Lucky you.  My missus won't even sit in the same room as me while the demons are playing.

Yep, I'm lucky

My missus shouts her head off every game, and gets the shits BAD when we lose. Runs around the living room throwing high fives with every goal. She's one of the "positives" who never thinks we are out of a game. She has learned many Australian sayings, and all of her swear words from watching footy with me. When I met her, she would physically cringe whenever I spoke a swear word. Now, she is your typical bogan cussing machine, with asian accent added for laughs.

Pretty remarkable for an import, who I introduced to the game a few years back.

She would probably root Jesse Hogan if left alone with him. Was very concerned about his child bearing ability once I explained he had a nut removed.

Thought she was going to [censored] herself with excitement when he lined up on the weekend. Clutches her Jesse Hogan membership card like its her last bowl of rice.

She questions my sexual proclivity every time Oliver is near the ball.

Footy has made my weekends awesome again.

Never mind the media focus, my wife thinks we can take it all this year.

Your missus owes me a hug for the Jesse Hogan badge i sent her.

The carry on when she got it was ridiculous.

Not a hell of a lot football-wise.  I'm pretty sure the posters on this board getting ahead of themselves will have little to no impact upon the team.

I was meaning the players can not get ahead of themselves.

Supporters can do as we please.

We must beat  Norf, saints, lions, Collingwood,

beat or be competitive against port, giants and Crows .

we can experiment against the last three. Our best can beat them as defeat of Crows showed.

But

we do not need our best team on the park to beat the first four.

Just hope we have the right combinations available.

if we can't do that we are not likely to trouble em in any finals campaign.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
