Will he be ok to ride Winx?

Well if there is any vertebrae damage or any broken bones or fractures,  you wouldn't think so Wadda.   Collarbone,  the AC joint or the ribs would have all been impacted.

We forget sometimes how much of an extreme sport it is for the jockeys ... the horses too of course.  My initial thoughts were that the horse wasn't impressed with the persuader and reacted accordingly.  Could be wrong of course.

Is there any footage anywhere? They scratched Winx last time he couldnt ride.

See D77's post above

They are now saying Hugh has concussion issues and has possibly lost a few teeth.  No other reports of any other injuries (as yet)

It must be a real shock coming off a horse at that speed ... with no pre-warning of course.  The horse just went sideways (left) in a flash.  It wasn't squeezed for room or anything like that.  It had clear ground.

Redzel returns to the winners list.

Great win, I really liked the ride and tactics on Super Too, just go for it son and catch me if you can. They did but it hang on for a gallant 3rd.

Edit: We are on in 5.

I didn’t know where to look, Merchant was coming, then all of a sudden Brave Smash shows a scintillating turn of foot and looks the winner but the Warrior does it again. Stiff fellas.

Mixed reactions there ... took a special horse to defeat our pick but I wasn't going to make Redkirk my best bet anyway.  Mind you,  I did get the trifecta which payed very well considering the first 3 were my 3 picks to win.

Anyway,  we've still got 3 picks going (or at least I have)

Good work Macca, you might have to post one   “Macca Tri Special” a week for us. That along with the “Wadda Quaddie”.

Mixed reactions alright, it was a terrific race in the end.

Still alive here with the system 3.

Edit: I’ve also taken our Best bets in a place multi only just for a saver. I thought the place value for all was decent. Like you said, it’s about finding ways to make a profit.

Some of the comments from the losing jockeys were priceless. Jockey of So Si Bon when asked after the race “ Na no good, horse needs to be gelded”. ?

Edit: Craig Williams looked devastated to lose that race in his comments. A lot of praise for the horse but you could see he was gutted. I am a big fan of Craig Williams and his professionalism.

This is where the best bets can help D77 ... without Wadda nominating Merchant Navy as his best bet,  I probably don't get that trifecta.  I knew Wadda liked the horse before he nominated the horse so I included the horse as a winner in my trifecta.

Same goes for Shillelagh in the next race ... both binman & yourself especially like the horse's chances so I have therefore included it in another trifecta.

It was interesting to hear the jockey of Merchant Navy post race state that the horse lost sight of Redkirk Warrior and switched off a bit late in the race because the horses split to two sides.

Shillelagh not running a place knocked out my saviour Multi.....nevermind.

Same here....disappointing run. I don’t think many horses have made up ground today from the back except Merchant Navy and Brave Smash.

Hi all, might be my first visit ever to this thread...so I am happy for this to be taken with as much skepticism as can be expected with an anonymous tip on the interwebs.

Father-in-law has 'recommended' Peaceful State in the Randwick Guineas. There's a family connection so maybe he's just being hopeful...

Welcome KK. Yes its certainly in there with a big chance.

I must say Ace High looked amazing in the mounting yard. Good barrier could be a chance here.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
