Michelle Cowan has stepped down from all roles with the club due to family reasons restricting her ability to relocate to Melbourne.

Hopefully she finds a role with the womens team at Freo and gets the chance to continue the good work she has done with the womens league with us over the last few years. 

'for family reasons' = don't have to move across the country and have been offered big $$ to lead freo's women's team.

There was a terrific article in the Age a few weeks ago but when it outlined her family situation I thought it highly unlikely she'd choose Melbourne.

I hope we get another woman to replace her both as coach of the woman's team and as an assistant for our men's team.

Good luck Michelle, you sound like you're a terrific person and you've done a wonderful job.

Gee what not a surprise! ! The tyranny of distance , family, not to mention possibly more money has won the day!
