I think you read to re-read, and understand what I was referring to.

I was talking about what the guys, and supporters did for Jack. I thought it was team building.

Your smartarz follow up, was aimed in the wrong direction.

I will re state for clarity.

I thought the team and supporters were good, with their "welcome back"

I think Jack has taken one very very small step on the road to a recovery that I am hopeful that he can make.

I think unless he can regain his long lost speed, he will be a liability on field, just as he was prior to his break from playing.

I hope that clears up any misunderstanding on your part.

Nice effort at condescension. Pity it relies entirely on missing the point. My 'smartarse' (no need to be afraid of properly spelling your abuse) comment was directed at a post that you've now disowned twice.

Stop wriggling on the pin. It will only make the hole bigger.

Wow what a moron you must be. Pretty clearly injured and playing because some genius (a bit like you really ) foisted the captaincy on him.

Doesnt change any facts, and who doesnt understand them?

Captaincy didnt make him as slow as treacle, just as it didnt make Grimes freeze under pressure.

Jack had an injury, then an operation or two, and now he needs to regain lost speed, or say goodbye to his career.

Why are people getting so whiny over this?

Thanks for the moron comment. I like simple humor.

Because you haven't uttered one word that wasn't patently obvious.

Just absurdly unnecessary.

Sigh. A whole page with not much related to the op....

I liked the banner a lot. Great work by Gawn, Watts and the Demon Army. Wonder at what rate they will increase Jack's running, kicking, etc. I'll be interested to see where he's at by Christmas time. Things going well, he might just be ready for round 1 next year

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
