Jake Lloyd

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but there is an excellent article on fox footy website about the training regime that Jake Lloyd had undertaken since the age of 13.

It shows the mental fortitude that is required to play AFL footy and also shows why players like Blease & Sylvia never make it, even with their undisputed talent.

These are the types of players that Roos will build his team around.

Pleasant to see Mark Robinson actually write a good football article.

Just quietly, I'm glad Mr Lloyd isn't my father.. God, my stomach was churning just reading those sessions..

“The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle,’’ Jimmy says.

"Out the back on the lawn, there’s probably burn marks from all the vomit. I’d have him on his hands and knees every session, dry retching, vomiting. And if I told him to get up, he’d get up.’’

Now that's hard core.

I don't want that snotty little bastard at the club. Between him and Jar Jar Binks, I am not sure who ruined the Phantom Menace more.

Chinese dragon-mother stereotype, wearing an 'I'm SAS but don't tell anyone, wink wink" costume.

Bizarre.
