When will the new coach be announced

Featured Replies

Roos is waiting for the AFL's reply to Jacksons case. Once he has that information he will make a decision.

Shouldn't be long now..

Just waiting on another zero or two.

It makes a hell of a difference, particularly moving and commuting to and from family...

Just saying..

Probably when the prospective coach says yes

234 hours 54 minutes 6 seconds from now

It would be nice to get someone signed up sooner rather than later so they can have a good look at the list and have a god idea should go and what type of player we need to bring on the list. The more I listen to what Jet Jackson has to say about restructuring the club, the more I am thinking who coaches is important but not the be all and end all. We need a competent, experienced coach, we don't

Need a messiah. There has been a lot more wrong with this club than the coaches and I think PJ's comments point to the total lack of direction in the place that is staggering. I think Choco or Eade or what about Ratten could do the job with good assistant coaches and full support of the FD.

It won't be until the end of the season. If it is Roo's it would complicate his media responsibilities announcing now and the same for Eade and being at Collingwood. Obviously similar arguments could be made for the others who have been spoken about

Dear Kenny. No matter how many times you change your name, your ignorance bubbles to the surface. In an earlier thread (I’ll find it if need be) you criticised a poster for poor English – a dangerous precedent.

Please, for the edification of all, and to add to our knowledge of the language, explain why you inserted an apostrophe in Roos.

LOL

English Teachers, you got to love them!

Where are you Kenny (or whatever your current name is)? Has the cat got your tongue? Where’s the mouth now? You were quick to mock the other night but after a little bit of heat you wimp off. WAP.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
