Supporter Strike!

I'm sick of being embarrassed by the boys in those jumpers. They haven't turned up for the last two weeks. I propose that we go on strike rnd 4 against GWS. Imagine if NOT ONE Melbourne supporter turns up to watch that game. Would it embarrass the players into actually doing something?

My two boys are I are already on strike.

I told them after last week we are not going to another game until 1. we have won a game 2. we are showing winning form (I explained that as being beaten by only a goal or two and definitely not being thrashed).

The club........they already have our money which is what they want; and they don't get any more if we turn up.

The players.......well apparently they don't hear the crowd when they are concentrating on playing, so being there cheering is not required to ensure competitive performances.

The NEXT game I go to support MFC in they need to start as FAVOURITES and after tonight that won't be this year!!

I don't mind going and we lose that comes with following a sports club. Not even the best win every single time. But to watch us consistently be embarrassed and humiliated when I've got a young family at home? Yeah I think I'll be hanging up the boots for the next few weeks at least. I'm a sucker so I'll still watch on TV but I've got better things to do with my weekends at the moment and this is coming from someone whose been a regular attendee week in, week out since I was 6 years old.

Basically I'm on strike until Schwab goes.

Possible protests:

Go, but don't clap or cheer.

Or go, but wearing the other teams colours.

Or, if (just kidding, when) the score blows out again, walk down to the boundary and then turn and face the other way, turning your back on the game.
