I 'spose Frawley doesn't know what to say?

Featured Replies

Many moons ago, my father bought our first tv set and I remember the first interview I saw on World of Sport was of a then raw young Demon recruit Hassa Mann. I could barely understand what the kid from Merbein was saying. He spoke in a real country drawl that would make Chip sound positively articulate. Within a few years, he grew and developed and he was soon a leader at the club and working as an executive in business.

Have fun at Frawley for not having a great deal of polish in an interview but I reckon he's a bloke who lets his football do his talking for him. He will develop in how he presents publicly over time.

The amount of defensive, insecure knobsticles there are is astounding.

It's okay to laugh! I'm sure his team mates would laugh about it with him!

You sad sad people.

I think it is the reference to his s'pposed inabilitity to be captain that people don't like...

Well then it's clearly an impossibility to convey tone via digital communication RP.

It was a playful and fun dig at one of the best young KPB in the league.... Hopefully that will dry some eyes.

But yes, I am still glad he's not our Captain, for the pure reason that I want to feel confident in the way our Captain handles himself and the club he represents during interviews.

I guess that's part of the reason JT and JG got the nod.

Smiles everyone.. : )

it's generally expected that when people who laugh at others are pulled up for it they will start abusing those pulling them up.

It's part of an insecure beings make up. The school bully is the perfect example. He bags others, gets pulled into line by the teacher and then starts abusing the teacher, behind the teachers back of course. Courage is not a strong point of such people.

You fit the mould perfectly, most people are more complex, you are very simple

Wow.

So let me get this straight.... I am 'bagging others' whilst you are going on about morals and you've also come up with the very creative 'teacher and the school bully' analogy, yet at the same time you're calling me 'very simple'.......

God, I swear I'm onto something here.... Umm....

So does anyone here watch My Kitchen Rules? Those Victorians, those bloody Victorians- they make my blood boil!!!

Not a big fan of reality TV.

Aside from sport that is.

It's funny, sport gives people the best stories (Jeremy Lin, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, HWFUA, Ponting, CP3, etc) and we are making up new ones with cooking competitions and weight loss competitions...

I guess the latter was required due to the former...

A bloke who i think interviews really well is Mark Jamar.

Worth watching the one today on the MFC page, i was suitably impressed by the big russian.

Matt Burgan Is possibly the worst interviewer I've ever seen, its embarrasing they let him do it. Having a rambling vague interviewer who needs 30 words to say what can be said 4 doesnt help an interviewee either. Bit like the standard of play being dragged down when you play a poor standard footy team

I'm with you man, more I see this guy, more he gets on my nerves with his little hop every time he talks and that nervous bloody voice.

I want someone yelling at me with veins coming out of their neck bigger than my head. HEY! THIS IS DEE TV. HEY, HEYYYYYYY DEE TV! WHERE AM I?! I MUST LIFT THIS FRIDGE!

Matt Burgan. His write-ups are decent though, points there son.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
