I've been looking at the teams to see if there is one I'd like to follow. I know of most of the popular clubs. I knew the Sharks due to their colours which I like.

Pens looking good early, 7-3 shots already but the Sharks have had chances. That leg injury looked terribly painful for the Sharks player, they didn't mind showing the replay!!

Yeah that knee was awful.

Sharks have had some great chances but seem very tight. Lots of mistakes by them over simpler tasks. Pens look comfortable.

I got to leave at 11:45 so I'll need to avoid scores and watch when I get home.

Yea Sharks clearly looked overawed by the occasion and got dumped on. Pens the champs and were the better team all series. Sid the kid, so good.

Yep, the Pens were too good when it counted and were worthy Stanley cup winners ... San Jose weren't disgraced but they couldn't get near it in the last period and a half today.

Yeah the Sharks did well over all but mostly looked half a pace of the pens.

Well, today was crazy.

Subban to Nashville, Weber to Montreal
Hall to New Jersey, Larsson to Edmonton
Stamkos re-signs in Tampa Bay for 8 years

Not too sure what Edmonton were thinking...they got absolutely annihilated in that trade. I know that they were looking for a right-handed shooting defenseman, but surely they could've done much better than Larsson if they were willing to give up Hall. Both Subban and Weber are right-handed shooting defensemen, and I'm sure that Edmonton would be kicking themselves knowing that both of those players were on the market. Larsson is an underperforming first round pick who's never done anything of note in 5 seasons in the NHL, and I think Edmonton have really shot themselves in the foot here.

Not too sure about the Nashville-Montreal trade, either. I just don't see how each team benefits from the trade.

He has a nice looking development of his coaching craft resume. I like they have gone for on paper looks like a good up and comer.

I think this season will be a write off/transition season but here is hoping they can bring it together as quickly as possible.

MacKinnon looking really sharp for Team NA, these kids got swag and speed beating Team Europe again 7 - 4 today, great to watch.

Will be interesting to see how they go against USA & CAN beasts who've had two heated pre-tourny games.

NA in overtime! Their last two games have been incredible despite the narrow loss to Russia.

Matthews scored 30seconds in today, the kid is living up to the hype.

Also suck it Team USA.

You put the mozz on them! What a great streak that was. Some of their previously unknown players stepped up and became elite players of the competition. Wennberg, Atkinson, Saad have all been fantastic. 

 

Matthews is a freak. Babcock said that he'd be a dominant player in the league by Christmas. He wasn't wrong. He's been sensational since mid-November.

6 of the Leafs rookies are currently in the top 20 for points (Matthews, Nylander, Marner are 2/3/4th) all with three games less than KO'd Laine so likely be 1st 2nd and 3rd soon.

Zaitsev has been excellent (1g, 15a) just having trouble scoring. This team is actually good!
