Please...no shared captaincy. Wed be that lucky one would be thinking its the other's job

Lets see who is actually at the club for 2012.

Trengove is ready, carries himself well on and off.. Doesnt go walk abouts when pressure's on. Has poise. Seems very purposeful.

I thought the same thing when I read it.

Very poor choice of words. Anything 9+ goals is a blowout imo.

You have my vote BB

Just let it go, Hannabal.

You're becoming as tiresome as you think I am...

I am not certain whether Trengove is ready for it next year but the under 24 brigade should select a LG from themselves and they can decide what to do about the captaincy.

Either one captain from inside or outside the group, or shared captaincy.

If I was to ponder who would be in that LG it would resemble - Frawley, Garland, Trengove, Scully, Watts, Grimes, Jones, and McKenzie. With one or more of Grimes, Jones, and Frawley sharing the captaincy. Maybe Watts and Trengove aswell but I don't know...

FWIW, it would appear that the 3 standouts are the 3 Jacks - Grimes, Watts & trengove - who all appear to have leadership inherently - just not sure that you throw them to the wolves at this early stage. That said, there is a void so good decsions need to be taken

You can throw them to the wolves at the same time...

I don't like shared captaincy, but it is better than...ahem...the alternatives...

That's definitely got my vote.

Grimes, Trengove, Watts.

Of course, I'd include Scully too, but I concede it's best to wait until we know for sure that he is staying.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
