I think after this week I will add some vodka to my banana smoothie.

Someone please shut this down and let's move on!

Someone please shut this down and let's move on!

It is quite simple really.

If you do not like this thread then do not come on it!

Mainly because I am bored with all the talk about you know who and compensation etc.

Do we keep this years clash Jumper or do we get to design a new one?

If we change the red can we keep it red not pink or maroon!

I predict that we will not play GWS next year at the G.

How's the diet going. I have to wait until the end of our season. I'm not looking forward to Monday week.

I've skipped a lot of the "woe is me" posting but I'm afraid you're in for more pain. Until our midfield becomes mature and competitive I think we are in for more of the same next year.

We desperately need to find a mature good midfielder but I can't see one. Grimes might be the answer if he can stay fit.

That is my main hope.

That, and we have Trade In another, Boak or Dangerfield, + Gaff, I hope..

I'd trade out quality to grab one of these maturing players.

Our older 'name' players would be On the table. Jamar/ Davey/ + others, Morton, Maric, (Bennell?) plus steakknives, Dunn, Wonna, etc.

For Old Dee, Man of Magic 2.30 today at Seymour , should run a nice race.

For Fan, I am about to have a diet shake as part of my diet. Hopefully when we get to have a bite together you will see a new me.

I see that the Tiges are going to go hard in trade week and we should do the same. Obviously we should look for quality or perhaps a hidden gem, like a player who has ability but is not getting a go at his club. We have salary cap room with you know who leaving and will have more with some delistings.

Thanks Redleg but I missed your advice.

Busy today and did go onto Demonland till now.

How did it go?

I can't believe it.

Redleg's horse has it's own website - Man of Magic

I'll bet the $6m man doesn't have his own website yet!

I am impressed WJ but how did he go today?

PS if you have $6 Million who need one?

What a day, my old Amateur side won senior and reserve premierships in C grade and the scum sent packing in a close one, with Judd not contributing. "That's what I'm talking about".

Glue factory, I think.

Not funny. He had a viral problem, out for a spell.

For Old Dee, Chaplin running at Sale on tuesday, hopefully he can salute.

How many do you own?

Thanks Redleg.

How many do you own?

Got shares in a few and breed as well. In all shares total about 1.3 for racehorses.

Amazing in 3-4 days 3 new coaches appointed. Not one of them an existing senior coach either. Also the top 6 coaches in ladder position from last year are now gone, or will be after the GF.

Sh-t ride, on the other hand he might not be that good at the moment, or at all. Iconic Princess in the last at Sandown tomorrow. 4.58. I note that since I started putting up races I haven't won one. Might have to stop.

  • NON-MFC: Round 12

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane hosting Essendon at the Gabba as the Lions aim to solidify their top-two position against an injury-hit Bombers side seeking to maintain momentum after a win over Richmond. On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. The Suns want to solidify their Top 4 standing whilst the Dockers will be desperate to break into the 8.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
