    I've skipped a lot of the "woe is me" posting but I'm afraid you're in for more pain. Until our midfield becomes mature and competitive I think we are in for more of the same next year.

    We desperately need to find a mature good midfielder but I can't see one. Grimes might be the answer if he can stay fit.

    That is my main hope.

    That, and we have Trade In another, Boak or Dangerfield, + Gaff, I hope..

    I'd trade out quality to grab one of these maturing players.

    Our older 'name' players would be On the table. Jamar/ Davey/ + others, Morton, Maric, (Bennell?) plus steakknives, Dunn, Wonna, etc.

    I see that the Tiges are going to go hard in trade week and we should do the same. Obviously we should look for quality or perhaps a hidden gem, like a player who has ability but is not getting a go at his club. We have salary cap room with you know who leaving and will have more with some delistings.

    Sh-t ride, on the other hand he might not be that good at the moment, or at all. Iconic Princess in the last at Sandown tomorrow. 4.58. I note that since I started putting up races I haven't won one. Might have to stop.

This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition.
