Injury List

You know, it's always made me think of x-men.

And he's very pretty ;) !!!

Whilst at the gym after work I noticed a guy in the official MFC gear and I asked him if he was a supporter and he said he was one of the trainers. I got chatting with him about injuries and he devuldged the following;

1. Jamar won't play this week. He said Jamar has trained for the last 10 days and Jamar believes he is right but the club will give it one more week.

2. Davey is at least 5 weeks away

3. Tappy is more than likely to play after the bye as Casey have a bye this week therefore no match fitness.

Just a little bit for you footy club culture paraniods. This guy told me he and his crew used to work at Hawthorn and how vastly better Melbourne is to work for. He went onto to say Bailey is one of the most approachable guys he's meet and from the Prez down to the property steward everyone loves him. He said the respect players show all staff is like nothing he seen at Hawthorn, He made special mention of Col Sylvia.

Sounds like a club with there culture right to me.

BTW I didn't ask him about Tom Scully.

Steamin, I am not disputing the fact you had a conversation with said trainer and that said trainer told you the news regarding Jamar. But, should said trainer be divulging this information if100% true. Should the trainer just give a generalization regarding Jamar's injury, i.e "The club will see how he pulls up after the final training session". I might be reading into it, but I thought clubs would be a little more secret on this topic. Bailey was playing the three ruckman/talls bluff also.

Not doubting the meeting at all but I find it interesting that the trainer is able to give all this information in these days of exotic bets on football. How was he to know that you weren't some bookie trying to get inside info. I know I am probably being harsh but you can't tell anything with cricket nowadays and footy I think seems to want to head down this path too.

And he's very pretty ;) !!!

Oh oh... Gubby Allen's at it again.

just saw Schwabby at the servo (getting a pie) said 'what's the story with Tom?' he said 'GAWN!'

For the sake of clarity you should have added that he was meaning Tom McNamara.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
