LAST TIME THEY MET

Featured Replies

The last time these teams met was back in August last year when the Demons won and Brad Miller was emergency for Melbourne.

That's just one of the changes I envision when teams are selected this week.

MELBOURNE

Backs Colin Garland Jared Rivers Clint Bartram

Half backs Rohan Bail James Frawley Joel Macdonald

Centreline Brent Moloney James McDonald Jordie McKenzie

Half forwards Liam Jurrah Jack Watts Tom Scully

Forwards Jamie Bennell Lynden Dunn Brad Green

Followers Mark Jamar Colin Sylvia Aaron Davey

Interchange Cameron Bruce Paul Johnson Jack Trengove Austin Wonaeamirri

Emergencies Nathan Jones Brad Miller Cale Morton

In Brent Moloney Jack Trengove

Out Nathan Jones Cale Morton

RICHMOND

Backs Chris Newman Will Thursfield David Astbury

Half backs Brett Deledio Kelvin Moore Daniel Connors

Centreline Mitch Morton Dustin Martin Shane Edwards

Half forwards Ben Nason Mitch Farmer Jake King

Forwards Matt White Jack Riewoldt Ben Cousins

Followers Angus Graham Shane Tuck Daniel Jackson

Interchange Andrew Browne Robbie Hicks Luke McGuane Jeromey Webberley

Emergencies Andrew Collins Alex Rance Tyrone Vickery

No change

I'm going to assume that Jamar comes in for Gawn, but there might be 1-2 other changes (in particular, Gysberts).

On that basis, here are the changes:

Johnson (gone) -> Martin

Dunn (form) -> Petterd

Wona (unavailable) -> Howe

McDonald (gone) -> Moloney

Bail (injured) -> Morton

Davey (injured) -> Nicholson

Bruce (gone) -> Strauss

Edited by Rogue
(1) Howe for Jurrah (2) Moloney for Jones

Jurrah's already there on a HFF. Thus

Wonna -> Howe

I think he might have replaced Brent Moloney - a late omission due to injury.

I think you're right.

Positive it's right.

Jones played all 22 games.

I'm flying accross for this game (subject to ash cloud!). Really keen to see if the boys can back up last weeks effort.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

    One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
