Thanks - been complaining about communication problems with the club for ages now - but get drowned down every time.Best of luck re Round 7 -Ultimate,we both need it. RFPC will roll me due to Geelong resting Johnson and taking Ottens off at half time. This game is killing me more than the MFC.Just noticed your odds on to cause the upset of the round.Thks for letting us know re Strauss

Believe me, every week I've been in this situation and by the last game my player gives up 6 FA's and im cooked so i'm thinking this week has to be my lucky week.

Believe Rivers either broke his ankle or did some sort of ligament damage, occured early at training in the week and has been kept very hush hush. Can only hope he gets back soon, but personally I think Warnock will be more than suitable.

I'm one of the huge Strauss fan's on here so I'm really hopeful he gets up and about sooner rather than later. Will allow Tapscott onto a HFF and can take his spot in what I hope our Round 22 team to look like!

P.s I reckon you've got rp's number this week too JCB!

never said gawn was competin with fev

reread my post

i said i would rather fev wasnt there and would rather cook, fitzpatrick etc get more game time in the forward line ones

Don't need to. That's why I put a question mark there for you. Cook and Fitz are not going to be hindered by having Fev in the same side if it's for this year only, as expected. Chance for them to actually learn a fair bit assuming Fev gets back to near his best.

cook n fitz are goin to be hindered as they would have fevs spot in the forward line and the ball wont get kicked as much if he wasnt there

hence the dees complained and didnt want fev

plus i dont know how anyone would learn off fev, hes a natural footballer, not a hardworkin one so minimal to learn

get it right

Casey Scorpions 3.5.23 trailing Northern Bullants 5.7.37 at half time.

It's a tough slog for the Scorpions today at Cramer Street, made extra difficult by injuries to the tall timber in the side during that quarter. Jake Spencer went down with a knee and Jack Fitzpatrick rolled an ankle.

How was Jordie McKenzie in the ressies?

I didn't see much of the game but I notice he kicked a goal. I'm told Max Gawn was outstanding in the ruck in the twos. Given the news about Spencer and Fitzpatrick it looks like an automatic recall for Max next week.

Here in the third quarter, the Bullants hold a 9 point lead at about the halfway mark. Brendan Fevola just missed an easy shot from 30 metres.

wrapped to see howe kick a few....

hopefully bennell played well, stimes struggles down there

I'm hoping Martin played well. We need to protect our number 1 asset- Mark Jamar.

Juice took him out at training week before last. Not sure what the injury is though but from memory it was a 2-3 weeker.

I believe it was Dunn that took out Strauss at training, not Newton.

BTW, Newton was not mentioned in the Casey game - I assume he was the emergency for the Dees

OK we'll make it easier to undertsand. Cook & Fitz will neeed to develop their games before either can hold down a key position and that's not going to be this year by which time Fev will be gone.

If you don't think there is something for a young forward to learn from playing with Fev you haven't been paying attention.

so its not worth puttin cook and fitzpatrick as key possies in casey ones? I disagree and your theory is flawed considering we recruited them as key talls, they played juniors as key talls, will play one day for the dees as key talls? Yet its not important they play there for Casey for experience and see more of the position and football than if Fev wasnt playin?

They need to learn to play key position, this year, next year etc and Fev is somewhat stalling there progress hence the club had issue with it.

Your startin to sound silly by sayin wait for next year

newton, fitz, howe, fev, cook etc dont fit in a forward line and hence the fev pickup wasnt good for the dees

are u barrackin for casey or the dees?

No, not yet. They are early stages in their development. I would expect they will play in a number of positions just like nearly every bloke who has come through the VFL to AFL.

And could you please use caps, commas and tidy up your grammar FFS. I promised I'd never rip someone on this but it does my head in. Are you Wayne Brittain??

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
