They'll be 15th, end of the round. But that's still a step up from 17th.

aHaHaHa, history in the making.

I'm just glad we got through unscathed as where still finding our Rhythum, to this stage.

We're waiting for the next few players to wake up and decide it's them thats going to lead', from the front. I'm waiting to see who'll be the ones to take up the mantle. We already know the regular ones, Beamer, Green, there was Junior and to a Lesser degree, bruce. But the door is ajar for some young tyke to KICK IT Open!

Amazing comeback and win.

I don't know what it means to Melbourne (probably very little) but it just shows us that we didn't play a great game but we were professional and did what we had to do.

TBH I think this means pretty much sweet FA for Melbourne.

As with any game nowadays, you can't really play the x beat y and y beat z so x should beat z (or something like that).

Port were up by just as much as we were nearing 3/4 time. They're a flimsy rabble who are bottom 4 material. They would also have been coming down from the emotional euphoria of their showdown comeback the week before (which would've made them softer as they're easily pleased it would seem).

I vaguely recall a stat about Port the week after the Showdown being putrid.

So the Suns have more Home & Away games against Port at FP in five weeks of existence than we have in 11 years?

Does anyone know the url for Power's supporter blog? I want to learn some new words and phrases?!

Just goes to show how terrible Port is. They got up for the Showdown because they always do, but in essence they are a rubbish side.

Port, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Richmond and North. Some weak teams right there.

But well done to the Gold Coast for winning at a venue that we haven't won at for 10 years.

I really don't want to go deeper but here and here are two of them.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
