Bears looked very good, but the packers hold up in the red zone to force a FG

Early doors, but that drive had TD written all over it. Might be that sort of game

*Red zone conversion (or not)

great first drive from the Packers. Bears defence going to have to do better than that

That was smooth ... Love to Dobbs then Love to Reed, both on 3rd downs

Both well designed plays

Oooof, fumble but they recovered. If Bears don’t score here and Packers get the ball and then start the half with the ball, this could be a massive hole for the bears.

Wow! What a gamble that was

this is a bold strategy from the bears

this game has major [censored] the bed vibes for the bears

If packers score a TD here the game is over.

(Forgot about not doing the abbreviation of Green Bay, so have a earlier comment awaiting approval 😂 )

this is the worst first half you will ever see from a no 2 seed.

they need to get their [censored] together pronto otherwise this game is over, if its not over already.

That dropped interception could have been the game.

But I agree BDA I reckon this is a TD drive for Bears or it’s over.

bears are absolute gash. Reckon i'll give the second half a miss.

Today I've had Bolton lose, Timberwolves lose and now the Rams look like they are cooked too.

I hate sport.

Respect though. Always had a soft spot for the Wolves.

It's not over yet ... if the Bears can score a TD on this drive, it becomes a 1 score game

Packers 3 & out on both drives in the 3rd quarter. The Bears have lifted but they need a TD

Bears miss another opportunity in the red zone

Packers now need to eat up the clock. Running game with Jacobs?

This is a completely different Bears team in the 2nd half

Their defence has stepped right up and they finally get a TD

By contrast, the Packers can't create a first down

3 and out, 4 times in the 2nd half

Does anyone else hate the way Williams throws a 30+ yarder? Its like it comes out of the index finger.

Matthew Golden with a magical run and then we miss the extra point!

2 score game but it might be a case of the Bears needing to score a field goal (first)

These games are never over until they are over!

Yeah, fair 30+ yarder with that 4th & 8!! haha

Exquisite throw!!

What an amazing sport the NFL is. 2 scores in a short space of time is always possible

A team now needs a 3 score lead going into the 4th quarter and even then, are they safe?

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • PREGAME: St. Kilda

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.
