AB asks for trade from Steelers

Yep, it’s official. Still no obvious reason why but he seems keen to move on. I feel like the Raiders might make a cannonball splash in this pool.

The thing is his contract with the Steelers is pretty big still.

Niners are keen but are they willing to pay up big for him.

Yeah another 3 years or something like that. It's a bit of a punt at 31, yes he's brilliant and could go a while yet but still a risk. Some new off field issues don't help.

I'd welcome him of he came but still not convinced he's a perfect fit. Would rather a decent long threat and some serious pass rush this FA.

The Raiders have serious cap room and are desperate for a big fish. Gruden is a fan so would make sense.

Yeah and with Bell linked with Ravens the Steelers could be a very different proposition.

Think I'll be wearing my Patriots jacket to round one, please lads don't creep up and behind me and slap me in the head. Go Pats Go. Been a fan since the Booming Darren Bennett started punting so I don't mind the Chargers either. Pity Drew Brees didn't stay there, their history would of been different and won a title or two.

Congrats 4KW and welcome to the thread ... look forward to your contributions going forward.

The fella's here just love the Patriots winning all the time too  ?? ... so give 'em heaps!  Winners are grinners.

Foles to the Jags?

@Clintosaurus  @Dappa Dan  - thoughts?

Not sure Macca. Definite step up from Bort but probably means no Haskins in this year's draft.

The Giants could get in first anyway (?)

Here's his Combine performance ...

Yeah sounds like a good fit. I'd like to see him go somewhere with a defense. Wish him all the best of course. I don't know too much about their offense, aside from De Fillippo and him loving each other. Could be awesome actually.

Rams signing free agents already.

Sullivan gone, Joyner looks gone, got in Weddle who I’m stoked about, they are hoping to get Fowler to re commit, don’t think Suh is that high a priority unless he take big pay cut.

Edited by Gorgoroth

Rams sign Fowler for up to 14.2 mil depending on incentives which equals the 5th year amount he would have made if Jags took his 5th year option.

Weddles money has gone from being reported in the 12mil over two years to 10.4mil over two years.

OBJ to Browns! Wow, anyone see that coming?

It's brilliant. LeVeon Bell to the Jets too. Free Agency/Trade period this year is mental.

Baker has one of the more accurate deep balls going around so this move makes the right sounds. Surely on the up now? :)

Gotta hope his o-line canbuy him time for the receivers s to get down field, but his receiving core is first rate.

Yeah 100% That will be the secret sauce. Either way they are gonna be a fun watch.

Russell Wilson might be leaving Seattle.

Wants a bigger contract than Seattle will give. I hope he leaves and goes to another division ?

Wilson’s new deal is 4yrs at $140mil, wow. QB money is getting silly.

Great posturing and great result for him. Crazy money but he's certainly a QB I'd want to pay!

It’s getting to the point where I think the QB money is getting silly again. Sure they are super important but O though wilson would rather a good oline to protect him and 5mil less a year. Might even survive the four years.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
