Eagles, Seahawks, Saints for me @Macca

You are doing well in the comp first time up DZ ... in fact,  you're in the lead! (along with 11 others)

For whatever reason we haven't seen a lot of strong teams on the road against weak opposition so far ... plus,  I'm not sure there are many 'pushover' teams about anyway.  And a few of the traditionally strong teams are performing below par as well.

There were 5 road winners in week 3 but 3 of the 5 were complete outsiders - especially the Bills & Giants.  It's a tipsters nightmare at the moment.

In other news it looks like we could see a relaxing of the strict new interpretation of 'roughing the passer' ...  NFL Competition Committee members reportedly uncomfortable with roughing the passer calls

Lions, Eagles and chiefs for me in wk 4.

Gutted about Jimmy G, niners season officially back in the toilet. Crowd numbers at Santa Clara already really low due to fans having to stare into the blazing sun all afternoon in that awfully thought out stadium. Now without their marquee name can't see crowds flocking to see CJ start

I miss Candlestick sometimes. It was a dump but it was our dump.

There you go Gorg. Even the bookmakers...

I don't think the Eagles were ever even close to this much of a fancy. Your head must be spinning.

No Talib and Peters for a month, whitwirth limped off the last two mins, no Greg the Leg and the kicker they got in was poo. JoJo is doing a good punt return for Cooper until his return. Our injuries are mounting, glad we took a punt on Sam shields, going to be well needed the next month.

I KNEW you'd say that. They're another 5-6 injuries from being brought back to the pack. Donald and Gurley are #1 in the league in their positions. No-one can figure out McVay, Goff is quietly achieving... WRs are flying all over the place. They're in superb shape.

Dappa, I’m a pessimist... I always see the holes. Diggs worries me this week prior to them going down. My thought is that now the throwing game will be more on the agenda vs us it might give Donald and Suh more chances at the QB.

TBH I now think we are like the chiefs where our O will have to just keep scoring big. Def have the weapons to do so.

Got a tough run coming up to.

Vikes, Seahawks, Broncos, niners, packers, saints, Seahawks, chiefs.

hoping Peters is back by broncos- Niners games as Talib will miss them all.

Hopefully the Eagles will still be thereabouts later in the year. That will be game of the season.

Say what! Wasn't Peters originally just a week to week thing?

First quotes were 2-4 weeks. Now it doesn’t seem as bad, they are rating him questionable for this week, but I’d be stunned if he played.

Yeah it was, but if this year both sides can be up and running by that stage... it will be better. Be great if it ciould not be overshadowed by injury events.

A new page so here are the games again ... Public holiday in Victoria tomorrow so we locals get a chance to watch the Vikes @ Rams game live.  Ideal.  Vikings are at Philadelphia next week so they'll need to get a move on after dropping a game to the Bills at home.

Only the 1 point on offer for 3 correct 'Road' winners this week so good luck all.

Jeeeeeezus. Kupp.

Goodness gracious. We're in for a classic here. Two great Ds who have been smashed so far. Some guy called Aldrick Robinson who's been there about a week with 2 TDs... All happening.

Goff making a play for MVP this season.

I tell you what @Gorgoroth... That's the best team in football right there.

And TBH, I think in my time watching NFL it has a shot at being the best I've seen.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
