I've got OBJ in fantasy. I'd be pleased if he went ANYWHERE else really. San Fran... Rams... anywhere.

Def Bryant released by the Cowboys...

Did not see that coming tbh

My mate @Kraken is devastated. Jerruh put up the X on Dez...

How much will he get and where will he end up? I'd love it if Eagles had the room and snaffled him. They don't of course.

Comment I read yesterday was that Dez said “I’ll see you twice next year” so that leaves 3 teams he could go to , giants, skins and eagles...

Yeah, but even among WRs he carries on like a pork chop. Hasn't been dangerous or scary since he did his ankle. Is worth more to opposition teams making it all about him, than he is to the teams he plays for.

I reckon as a GM with the whole "Dallas for life" thing, it'd be hard to get excited about a player who has DIVA concerns but doesn't produce well enough to have them. Will have to be a Red Zone threat at best, like Jimmy Graham. I don't reckon he'll be able to choose where he goes nearly as easily as people are saying. At Rams for example he'd be third biggest target.

Good foil for Jefferies...

Where do u think he goes?

I'd take Dez at the Jags. I reckon he would be an unbelievable slot receiver, like Anquan Boldin or Larry Fitz.

So the Draft is soon, think the rams are just coming for day 3... :)

Eagles are still partying... Won't be attending at all.

Interestingly, they hosted the draft last year, and within a few months hoisted the Lombardi in the same place. After all the Dallas trolling. Pretty sweet. Only problem with that... It's in Dallas this time. :o

So speaking of draft... How we feeling @Macca @Clintosaurus @Gorgoroth @Kraken @JV7 @DeeSpencer? Any early picks?

Aside from the usual QB talk, I'm interested in Barkley the most. Will he be Zeke or Richardson? And what about Chubb?

Speaking of QBs.... The Foles trade didn't end up happening @Macca

That's right Dappa ... from memory Gorg made the call that Foles would end up staying.

I suppose the whole 'will he/won't he stay could go on for quite some time though ... especially if/when the Eagles make the switch back to Wentz.  It's still newsworthy from my point of view.

As for the draft,  I know that the Packers have a stack of picks outside of the first 3 rounds ... 12 picks in all over the 7 rounds.  Whether we use them all is another matter.  Our needs are many especially at CB,  RB,  OL,  OG,  SS & TE.

I'm not up with all the prospective would-be draftees but I never usually am until the last couple of days or so before the draft ... and sometimes just on the day!

The other question is whether the Pats trade up for a QB prospect - there's been plenty of talk especially surrounding Josh Rosen.

Interesting fact that I heard the other week ... that a 3rd of all NFL players from year to year are undrafted players.  Considering there's over 2000 total players in any given year on various rosters that makes about 650+ undrafted players.

Heard Rams might trade up to the 30's if one of two OLB are available, but no names were mentioned and i dont know how we get there.

Foles might go if a team loses their starter for the year within the first few weeks as teams will give up more whwn desperate. And by then the Eagles will know how Wentz is tracking.

I think we all settled on that. The debate was more about what he'd be worth in a trade, rather than the likelihood. I thought all along that with Wentz's knee being as it was, the preference would be either a first rounder, or to keep him. As you say, it'll go on and on the will-they-won't-they talk. Part of me thinks they might eventually tire of the speculation and move him on just to stop the external noise.

That's not quite right Dappa ... you and I thought he may get traded before the 2018 season but it looks like he'll at least start the season in the absence of Wentz.

We were talking about the possibility of Foles being traded whilst his currency was high etc etc.  That is how I remember the conversation.

Gorg's opinion was that he'd stay.

My biggest interest in the draft this year is seeing what new and wonderful way the Browns can completely stuff it up! ?

Taking Josh Allen at #1 would be a sure fire stuff up. I reckon Barkley at #1 and Chubb at #4 is their way forward. Tyrod Taylor is good in the mean time and they can take a QB like Luke Falk at 33 or 35 to learn in the next season or two.

More importantly, I hope everyone is watching 'Draft Day' before Friday. I have it sitting on the TV unit so I give it a view on Wednesday or Thursday night.

Yeah. "May." I was more "hoping" he'd get traded as I wanted that first rounder. But wasn't interested in a late second rounder, as Jimmy G got better than that. Always felt pre season or early 2018 was most likely, but certainly didn't see a minor contract extension coming, not in today's day and age of fast and furious trades. It was an extension they didn't need to do, so I'm pretty pleased they tried to help him out.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
