So Rams, Chargers & Oakland all apply to move to LA.. Little bit surprised by Oakland. What's your thoughts Gorgoroth ? Happy for the Rams to move ?

Nope, want them to stay in St Louis.

Stan wont give up tho, if not this year he will try next year.

Haven't been able to post for a while. Obviously I'm a happy Viking but it's turned to a fear playing seattle this week. So who's hot running into the playoffs? Steelers have slowed a bit, pats haven't got going the last few weeks. The AFC is pretty wide open and should be fun to watch. Panthers, Hawks and Cardinals look good in the NFC. One team I haven't payed much attention to is Kansas City. They have been on fire since starting 1-5. Good article on them on mmqb.si

Kansas City 21 @ Houston 3

pittsburgh 34 @ Cincinnati 27

seattle 13 @ Minnesotta 7

Green Bay 10 @ Washington 21

Lovie Smith from the bucs is now fired. This is getting silly. They went 6-10 with a rookie QB. Lovie can coach. His bears team was pretty darn good. Hope all nfl coaches are smart with their money.

Yeah I was stunned by that too CFH. Yet Fisher keeps his... It's just wrong.

Rams and Chargers are now favs to go to LA. Seems the Raiders aren't due to the good old days when there were fights in the stands amongst Raiders fans (gangs I read between the lines) and players use to tell their families not to attend games.

the Mayor of St. Louis has debunked claims from stan that he had been trying to get a new stadium since 2002 by saying he has never met Stan.

I keep hoping we don't move.

There is a great doco on the LA raiders and their ties to N.W.A. Basically raiders gear was worn by a lot of gangs in LA and as you said games were pretty nasty to attend. It happens everywhere though. A vikings fan got KO at San Fran and a San Fran fan was nearly paralysed in a fight at the toilets. The fight is on you tube it's pretty bad.

St.louis need to come out and say they don't want to be in St.louis. It's pretty obvious when you read the email from the mayor to the NFL that the Rams just want outta there. $550 million is the price to pay the NFL to re locate before any stadium is even built. The American tax payers must be over paying for stadiums that billionars then make a profit through naming rights, ticket sales etc. The vikings stadium is of equal cost to NASA sending a shuttle to Mars.

Hangin' for Sunday ... ideally, a couple of games every Sunday (our time) would be fabulous.

All the road teams are favoured but any of the games could go down to the wire ... next week, all the home teams will probably be favourites.

If Seattle win they will go to Carolina and if Pittsburgh win they will go to Denver - it's been said before but the NFL playoff system works really well

However, there is still a good chance that 2 more teams will be added to the current 12 playoff teams with only the 1 seeds subsequently receiving the bye - I'm not against adding the 2 teams even though I like things as they are now.

The new 'point after' distance seems to have been received well too although only Pittsburgh looked to have attempted the 2 point conversion on a regular basis ... will they continue to do so on Sunday? The Steelers & Cinci match-up is probably the game of the weekend and it may well be real bruising affair given the recent history between these 2 teams.

The Vikings/Seahawks game could be a must-see too - for all sorts of reasons not the least being the weather forecast for the game  ... -3° celsius is forecast for the start of the game rising to a maximum of 1° celsius by the end of the game - plus, winds gusting up to 30km/h are predicted. That's rather chilly!

Edit: 7mate are showing all 4 of this weekend's games live - I suppose we can assume that 7mate will be showing all the playoff games.

Hoyer makes another giant blunder ... this ain't looking good for the Texans

Houston have been awful - KC are decent but they haven't beaten much.

Weeden might be coming in but it's academic ... the Chiefs can run the ball from here on in. A quick TD to Houston might change things but it had better happen soon.

Edit: another TD to KC ... 27-0 now.

Today's game has me worried about tommorow. What's the point of taking the division to then get spanked in the playoffs. Houston kinda won their division by default as Indy and luck couldn't get going this year. KC were 1-5 at one stage this year. And another INT.

KC go to either New England or Denver next week and who's to say they can't keep winning? ... it's not like the Pats or the Broncos are absolutely dominant at this point of the season.

I'm tipping the next game will be of a much better standard ... however, a lot rests with how McCarron performs.

Spot on about KC. Their defense can keep a game tight and if they don't turn the ball over they have a real shot at shaking things up. I'm kind of jumping on the KC bandwagon. To knock off Denver or New England would throw the AFC wide open.

That game was like north vs Carlton, even the good team (KC) were crap to watch for most of the day.

KC didn't really have to do anything at all. They just waited for hoyer to screw up again. Why Weeden wasn't put into the game is beyond me. The interceptions were way off from the intended receivers. I can see Brock Osweiller getting a big pay day to go to Houston or Cleveland if Manning plays next year.

The Steelers should have put them away by now ... Cinci's offense is just woeful.

One TD either way changes things though, in this low scoring game.

Big Ben has a minute to win it for the Steelers ... good comeback by Cinci and McCarron has been decent

Edit: And the Bengals implode - twice. Crazy stuff.

I cannot believe what I just watched.

All the Bengals had to do was three pedestrian running plays, force Pittsburgh to use all three timeouts, put a FG on the board, take the simple 4 point lead to win the game (barring a Hail Mary fluke). It was so easy.

To fumble the ball on the first play, to allow Pittsburgh to gain two (or three) first downs on the final drive, then the horrendous two penalties...unbelievable.

Cincinnati deserves to be pilloried for those final sequences. The only reason it's not enjoyable is that it puts Pittsburgh into the next round.

Oh my.... How did the bengals lose that!!! That hit by Burfict on Brown was absolutely moronic. Burfict was running around like a mad man after the hit Bernard took and he had that big sack on Ben and then and INT but he lost his cool in that final minute, absolute moron. Then the 2nd personal foul penalty was the final nail in the coffin... Don't feel sorry for the bengals though, completely there own fault

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
