Here Here and Rightly so. i don't know if its just us on Demonland/Demonolgy that feel more connected too our footy club because of the direction & approach the club has taken, as we discuss every topic and aspect possible. But even if i were not a mad passionate supporter just a follower i think i would still feel more for the club than ever, may even become a more passionate as a result!

Often during the week whilst ringing unrenewed members it was mentioned what a wonderful club we had and how proud they were to say that they supported Melbourne.I don't think it is not just because we have such an amazing future in front of us but "inclusive" was the word used most often. The other comment was obviously how wonderful Jim was but also the brilliant programmes the club has initiated amongst our aboriginal community. The other comment I have was did anyone else notice last home game how everyone seems to be wearing their scarves or jumpers. It would be interesting if the Club has numbers of uptake of scarves in relation to numbers of members. I just get the feeling amongst supporters in general that the passion has returned. I know it didnt ever leave all of us tragics but it is just so good to go to the football and see young kids and teenagers returning to watch "their" team.

Yeah don't think new balance are going too produce any top selling murchandise. maybe we could have a seperate brand for off field murchandising? Don't think its the norm but why not have a seperate label handle the fashion side?? i for one loved jaded's work (as i keep pointing out) and i am sure most of us would love too wear our clubs colours / brand for any occasion!

On whiteboard Wednesday Cameron Schwab talks about the introduction soon of the Emblem for the MFC. Looking at the words of the song, the emblem is the flag - the grand old flag.

Although the music to the grand old flag was written in 1906, some players put the words to the music in 1912, as they were preparing to travel down to Tassie for a game.

Cameron Schwab says that the emblem was shown to a few people & it will prove to be very exciting when released to the public!!

Bloody flags, lets have a coat of arms, an Emblem.. Yes.

The only flag I care about is a premiership flag that Flies High over the the MCG.

I think it'd be good if it was revealed before the walk to the G.

Maybe handed out flags with the new emblem on it to wave about!

^ Good suggestion. But would it all be ready in time ?

I note in Cam Schwab's tweets that the emblem will be released later in the year.

"We have shown a few people the emblem though its development phase a received excellent feedback. We will release later in the year."

I don't have the inside running like some here, but I think it is likely to include, or to be something like that 1933 Demon design, although there was a 1950s version around last year that might do it as well.

I reckon there might be some moves to give the little fella some aminmation, too.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
