Mark/goal of the year

Just been announced that Brett Burton won the mark of the year and Cyril Rioli the goal of the year

DAMMIT!!

I got a text message at the exact moment Burton took that mark. I was at the frickin game. I was there and I was getting into it because I was with Carlscum mates. And I get a frickin text message and look down for half a second.... ROAR! I hadn't even opend my phone by the time it happened.

There's a lesson in that.

Hat's off to both.

Is this Burton's first? Sure deserved it and I was a massive fan of Rioli's goal.

Well deserved.

Well deserved.

yeah... both deserved winners.

No big pack marks or long bombs/high-pressure set-shots made the top five. In my opinion, there should be more of those considered. There's something to be said for a dead-straight, good-looking drop-punt from outside 50 in a big moment in a game. Also I would like to see more team-goals recognised. Not just the flashy but suprisingly easy boundry-line snap.

surprised this is Burtons first MOTY award, he is done some pretty good ones in his time. The Rioli one was Farmer like as well

Was there any marks goals outside Jurrah's marks or goals that could have been selected from the MFC and should have Jurrah won any?
