In todays confidential bit in the herald sun there is a little story on how the melbourne players rocked up to the Flying Duck Hotel in Prahran unannounced and the owner was a little nervous and was bracing for the worst to happen. He said insted of getting drunken shenanigans the owner was greeted with good grace and humour. He said in 20 years in the pub game this is one of the most respectful group of blokes I've encountered.

Good to see our boys behaving well.

*Only said that after 50k was slipped under the counter for the hookers and damage they cause

*such a thing may not have happened :)

The owner Mark Flanagan, any relation to Martin Flanagan of the AGE? ;)

Good to hear over 30 of the boys enjoyed themselves.

The absence of arrogance.

My mate (who lives next to the Flying Duck) sent me a text on Tuesday night saying he'd gone outside to tell some people to be quiet and noticed it was Robbo / MFC. They may have all been golfing beforehand as he said Robbo was dressed up like an extreme golfer. No harm done by all accounts.

Good!

The absence of arrogance.

They don't have an awful lot to be arrogant about, but it is good to hear.

Robbo being loud? never...

Sedated?? ;)

They were dressed up like golfers, but no golf had occured......

Is Nathan Carol still in W.A.?

Seems a coincedence.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
