It's just like de ja vu from 2007- the Tigers are the only team keeping us off the bottom (for the first three rounds at least)

Yeah, this week we have a pattern behind us in winning this week against the tiges, cause in 2007 our first win was in Round 10, In 2008 our first win was in Round 7, 3 weeks earlier than the year before and 2009 we are still winless and its Round 4 which is 3 weeks earlier than Round 7, And if we win this then 2010 we could finally win Round 1 for the first time since 2005.

Wonna and Maric in the same fwd line applying defensive pressure for a change (we apply virtually none at present) snapping goals from left and right... can not wait to see it in action. We kicked over 10 goals this week too, adding these two will help us even further!

He has coached 25 games, and in that time he has -

- Completely rebuilt our back line, turning it from a laughing stcock to one of the leagues best

- Weeded out the deadwood from the Daniher era

- Blooded more promising youngsters in one year than Daniher did in a decade

- Made Brent Moloney a less predictable player

- Took Garland, who most fans wanted to delist, and made him arguably our most promising player

- Turned Warnock into a fine backman, after doing nothing under Daniher

- Revived Aaron Daveys career in a new role

- Backed an unknown kid from the Tiwi Islands who electrified us in 2008

- Coached is a to an AFL record come from behind win, 51 points down

Like everyone else except bjgc, I agree.

a) The backline got 22 goals kicked against them on Sunday.

B) Isn't your mate Bruce from the Daniher era.

c&d) Don't know about that.

e) I agree

f) If he plays like he did last week he will become another Carroll. He has to realise that you have to be close to your opponent to beat them not 30 metres away the lack of respect he and Rivers showed Tredrea was disgraceful.

g) He has to show it consistantly his last 2 weeks have been good and they had to be cause he has shown nothing for a long time he must keep it up.

h) Don't you remember how Davey used to play.

i) It was Fremantle.

a) The backline this year, over 3 games, has been far superior to the backline of the last 5. When we were any good, in 2004-06, it was our backline that continued to let us down. Now it is clear that we have a defensive unit that combines youth, strength, height and aggression.

He's right about Moloney. Also right about the youth.

You're wrong about Warnock too. He comprehensively beat Hale in Round 1 and Cloke in Round 2. Tredrea at his best is far better than those two, and he played a somewhat different role as well. But even the best defenders get beaten occasionally.

For those feeling bad about our coach, team, gameplan, etc.. Go and read the readers comments on the Herald-Sun website in relation to the Tigers after the game today. It will make you feel a whole lot better about where the Demons are at, and will also give you a good laugh.

Couldn't agree more. I'd take our position at the moment over Richmond's, and I'm sure they would too. At least we weren't expected to do anything this year. We have got to be a chance this week.

Yea, I'm predicting a round 1 win next year. I thought we were going to beat the Roos this year, but hopefully next year we V Freo, Port or maybe Essendon or Richmond.

On paper the results are awful no doubt, just 3 wins in 25 games. But the guy has literally had to start from the ground up. He inherited an untalented, aging list and has already rejuvenated it and will continue to do so.

This guy knows what he is doing, and once everything clicks, the wins will come.

Good to see some one has written the voice of reason Here. Bailey is doing a great job. The clean out for this team should have started after the 2006 Finals Campaign. It didn't so sadly the Club has hit Rock Bottom with a thud. On & off the field. How do we kick winning scores when the majority of the Forward line are injured or a first year player? I was stoked we kicked 7 Goals in the last Q against the "Pathetic Power" I want to build a winning Culture at this club yes but i want it to be done RIGHT. No more Band aids. We are in a much better long term position than North, Richmond & maybe even Port Adel. Be Patient Guys!!

Including yourself Y_M.

Still, good post even if you wanted Garland delisted last year.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
