Can anyone do me a ginormous favour and direct me to a picture of so-called "alien" Brock McLean with his newly shaved head. I have not been fortunate enough to see it for myself.

Thanks in advance, your friend, Chook (AKA, the poster of useless threads).

Excellent! Thanks a bunch. I think footballers with shaved heads are always in the right place mentally. Totally focused on getting better, to the extent that hair (the maintenance of) is just an annoyance. That's how I see it, anyway.

I always played my best football with a shaved head. You look tougher, you feel tougher, so invariably you play that way.

Bruce Doull and big Carl Ditterich wore headbands Condemned.. :P

I've actually played football with a shaved head, but depending on the size of the nose and ears, these can affect the flight through the air.....I prefer to play with a Sherrin....

Thanks Petjud, and with all the recent troubles exactly how are things going for the Afghan Football League?

Sorry, I counldn't resist it, must be a slow discussion day when one of the topics is how your tonsorial appearance can impact on your football playing ability, as a person who has a NO 1, and have had for a number of years, it didn't make me a better football player, just an easier target to spot.....the game is going really well in the Afghan Football League...and the handball can be very interesting.....

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
