CARO ON 3AW

I am just glad this topic is getting airtime. It is the backbone to our on going future. We must get the right deal done. The MCG is our home.

You read the comments regarding (lack of) office space in the rectangular stadium, right?

yes i did, and either we some how fit more people there and move there or we go all out in the G

i know it doesnt affect me personally but i hate the idea of us seperating different aspects of the club

i would not like it if we had 45 people working in the bubble dome and 60 people working at the G...i would rather 105 at the G (if that makes sense)

she rarely writes an article about an actual game of football... it's always about the behind the scenes issues when it comes to Caro... boardroom spills, players taking drugs, coaches getting sacked, anything off field she's all over it and does a good job... but she rarely comments about what actually happens on the field...

i'd be interested if you could find me an article written by her that's about a game of football...

She has a good understanding of the behind the scenes issues. If that's her forte, she should concentrate on that. There are plenty of others (about 1600 I think) who can write about a game of footy.

Or who think they can?

A belated thanks to Alpha33. Caro has only said what have been rumoured for some time about the stadium deals

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call real, actual journalism. Caroline Wilson is, by an absolute mile, the best football writer currently in the business.

Yes. She did ok.

$800K rent for Bubbledome? Tell 'em they're dreaming!

Great work, Alpha - thanks. I am literally praying that the cards fall the right way on this issue - it's just so damn important that they do ...

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
