Playing around with the blue emblem on a red jumper idea.

Love it.

Classy and simple.

I like the thin white outline around the crest to help define it too.

Maybe adding blue neck & arm bands could work as well?

That's it! Classy, oozes tradition, un-Carlton like or anyone else for that matter.

The border around the emblem lifts it out of the red. Very nice.

It could come with blue neck and arm bands, or a demon emblem over left breast. But I would vote for it just the way it is!

Clint I dont know why this isnt it. ( with navy trim to yoke and arms) its simple.. its unimistakable...Its timeless. In fashion speak.."" its a classic ""

We've been allowed red jumpers in the past..why not now.

much better than all the rest of them

I didn't get around to that unfortunately, was still trying to get used to the program I was using.

EDIT: I must also add that the original idea came from Demon4Life.

redmfcrevua8.jpg

same as Clints..with the trim

edit a bit easier to see now !! lol

Jimmy keeps on about ( and rightly so..lol ) everyheart beats true, RED & BLUE

well that jumper is red and blue,, f*** the white !!!!!!!!!!!

If ppl like it.. they ought to email the club.. I have..( many times..lol ..even get the occasional answer..hehe )

Its RED Its BLUE....

Its TRUE to Melbourne !!!

I think we should have a forum poll with 3 possiblilities;

The Red with Emblem (bordered) - Clint Bizkit / Demon4life

The White with Demon - Club option

The White with Emblem - Club option

What does everyone think?

red..jumper ..blue insignia and trim..:)

This design must be hand delivered to the club with a note reminding those in control that we are the team of the Red & the Blue..

I also think the demon logo is fun, but should be used in Pre-Season jumpers which should aim to be more fun & push boundries with jumpers -- but as for jumpers used in the season; they should capture class and tradition like the above option so beautifully does.

How Essendon can get away with just a bigger slash and we're forced to an entire white jumper is beyond me.

I'd use Grimesy and caddypgt's alternatives to Option A & B in the poll.

They're derived from the Club proposals, but probably a little more popular.

Regardless, all this talk about what other Clubs can do with their clash strip seems moot.

Because the MFC hasn't challenged the AFL's ruling?

Put these in the forum poll too Dees Dayz.

You've got my vote Clint.

My vote too.... must get this to the club before they use those other insipid revolting, unmelbourne like clah jumpers....just don't understand why MFC are rushing this.

to all those that like any particular jumper.. email the club...dont just do a me too here ( thats fine..but we already agree..lol )

TELL THE CLUB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

copy image and send to club with a "Why cant we have this jumper ??"

if they start getting more than a passing interest in a design..they'll listen !!

Full agree with your sentiment big fella...but I'm dead sure that Jimmy & Co hate this "white trash" as much as you do.

But its in our best interests to leave the MFC admin unmolested, we need them to be able focus on getting new sponsors.

Instead we need to go to the source of this nonsense and be bombarding the inboxes of the AFL marketing bozo's.

;) Done - but I think our club needs to know.

well... the people that are looking for sponsors I doubt will be the same ones receiving our emails at the club..

Personally Im all for bombarding or club.. telling them what WE think OUR club ought to be doing about it..

Vlad and Co dont listen to wee lil folk.. they listen to clubs..

lets let the Club ( OUR CLUB!! ) know what we think IT might be doing about this !!!!!!!!! ;)

Nice work guys. I made one slight tweak to the neck that I think works really well.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front.  They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
