John Meesen pulls a Steven Bradbury!

Handing out positions is hardly a way to bring toughness back to a club, we must make players fight to not only claim their jumper, but do it proud.

I don't want to see it handed out for the sake of it. If Jamar's right, make him ruck a full game, see how he copes with that.

Would much rather see Petterd get a game, i think he has class and it sounds like he's been playing well

Playing Meesen against Port isn't going to hurt us, and it's not handing out a position anyway or for the sake of it.

DB does like to pull the ocasional rabbit out of the hat , sometimes they're hares..and Im sure sometimes its his own hair he pulls out !! There is a peculiar South Australian flavour to all this.. We're playing one.. He ( DB ) was one. .Meeson ...was one.. and we're playing them there !

I wouldnt bet against Meesen getting a guernsey !! it just has that funny feeling about it all !!

I just like seeing players debuting after really fighting for their spot and earning it.

I'd see this as a position for the sake of it. After debuting I'm more relaxed, as players need experience etc., but i think the first game for your club should be a reward for effort, not a reward for another's injury

Many dont subscribe to playing for playings's sake but in many ways this game is a dead rubber. Quite possibly Bailey might think Meesen can bring somethign to 'this' game and might be curious enough about what he can do on the big stage to see it happen. Meesen does after all have more experience playing on most of thses guys than the rest of the team !!

Bringing in Meesen could also be a way of ASSURING we finish last.

tsk tsk !!:lol::lol: We dont like talk of tanking here.. lets just call it "List Management " or " Career development" or "Assett enhancement"

No no no...No Panzer, Shermans or Leopards here.. ;)...funny though, we do play Tigers soon

im sure no one cares what meesan thinks about whether warnock comes or not. if you cant play well for sandy you dont have a say in the matter.

I do, so you're wrong :P

It's interesting that he's pulled out his best game this week.

Give him a crack and lets see what he can do. There's only 2 games to go for shits sake. There is no shame in giving a kid a jumper and saying have a crack son and show me why you can be an AFL footballer.

He has already had a taste last year playing 2 games for Adelaide.

But I would still play him. by default.
