Quick Question for any Sydney Demons

I was just wondering if the game will be broadcast live this week in Sydney, and if so, on which channel?

Also, do the Sydney Demons group still get together somewhere to watch it?

Cheers!

Not from Sydney but the game is Live on Foxtel...No FTA coverage because of the Olympic Games.

7.10 I believe coverage starts.

Well being a Sydney girl I hope I can help.......

The Friday night games have been broadcast live into Sydney (and Brisbane) on Fox Sports Plus (which is the Main Event network under normal circumstances), which is channel 518 and is shown again on Fox Sports One (channel 501) at 11pm.

Channel Seven do normally show the game later on the Friday night (11.30'ish usually), but that is under normal circumstances but for this week (and next probably) that won't happen. The game is however being broadcast on Channel 7 at 7.50am Saturday morning.

I hope that helps :) !!!

My favourite time to watch footy.

Just go into some pub or sports bar with heaps of screens and ask them to put it on one for you.

the game starts at 705, so hopefully the coverage will start before 710pm...

Melbourne v Geelong Telecast in Sydney

The game will be broadcast LIVE in Sydney on Fox Main Event (518) from 7.00pm.

The NSW Demons watch the games on the Big Screen at the Alexandria Hotel, 35 Henderson Rd, Cnr Garden St, Alexandria. Numbers vary but you will always find AFL supporters at the Alexandria. The venue offers multiple plasma screens and is an AFL hotel, run by an ex Sydney player Harry McAsey, so you can always see the game on one of the big screens. Ph: 9698 1933 for more info about the venue. The Alexandria is an inner city pub which is close to the CBD - Good food as well!

Email me for more info and if you live in Sydney to be included on the NSW Demons weekly email.

Go Dees

it's poor 7 won't show the footy on the 7HD channel... perhaps it wasn't in the broadcast rights agreement...

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Brisbane

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • AFLW REPORT: Geelong

Melbourne wrapped up the AFLW home and away season with a hard-fought 14-point win over Geelong at Kardinia Park. The result secured second place on the ladder with a 9–3 record and a home qualifying final against the Brisbane Lions next week.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
