Dumb footballers

Cameron Bruce - pathetic dinky handballs that put his teammates under pressure. He does this every week, and has done nothing to rectify it.

Clint Bartram - continually gets caught holding the ball.

Brad Miller - the fact he has played all 10 games is an indictment on the MFC, and no wonder we are dead last. Fumbles, missed marks, poor kicks. He does it all.

Daniel Bell - shocking awareness, still hasnt taken any steps to improve that area. Been the same since day 1.

I can't fault Miller early on, the disposal to him was so far below par that it was embarrassing.

Missed a sitter of a mark with no pressure in the 1st quarter. So when the ball did get deliverd to him well, he failed miserably.

Also had the ball to himself on the boundary line, and fumbled it over the line with no pressure at all.

I thought you would be 'up and about' after today's game. You're usually there to pick over our carcass like a vulture. Your posts are so one dimensional it's hilarious! These guys weren't the only ones who sucked today. I thought we were going to lose when i saw our team on thursday. Some of the guys who were dropped was just plain baffling. Got no idea why Valenti was dropped for an Yze for instance.

I totally agree re: Bell and Bartram. Time for Bell to go IMO, I see no value in him at all. Hasn't improved much but is regularly played. Bartram at least puts his body on the line and tries to win some of the contested ball.

Disagree re: Miller. He isn't helped by shocking disposal inside 50 (or the sunlight)

I don't think you can pick out a couple from the herd. We have a very very ordinary bunch of footballers in general not just a couple.

If you took our best 22 and put it against 16 sides in the comp I could think of very few of our players getting a game, to highlight your pet hates is not helping YM.

Simon Buckley

Almost always chooses the wrong option to kick to, and when he does in fact choose the right option, his skills let him down and he misses the target. Still think he is one for the future though and I like his endeavour.

The awareness of our current playing crop is appalling.

This will, hopefully, develop with some experience and some more confidence.

Bailey was renowned at Port as a fantastic player developer. We have to hope that he can continue this at Melbourne.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
