  1. That's all well and good and I can see where you're coming from but if we find ourselves caught short with the departures of both Kent and VDB (and possibly others), then we may rely more heavily on the trade (pick) to facilitate other player movements. Alternatively, we may be forced to use the pick in the draft given the higher number of departures. Pick 75 is not very helpful for either scenario. I hope it's just posturing by St Kilda or more likely, utter tripe peddled by the Hun.
  2. His manager was on Lame Radio today indicating he was up for the challenge, keen to stay and fight for his place in the senior side. Clearly talking him up, but it looks like he's not wanting out or to get back to WA, or there are no takers. I hope he can because when Jeff's on fire he does a lot of damage. When he's not it's just pathetic.
  3. Clearly Hoges is meeting club (singular) - the one he wants to play for!
  4. I don't think he particularly entertained leaving GWS but is one of many players being shopped for somewhat urgent cap relief, with him now being the most likely to fall first. I expect Hawthorn was his first (only) choice but the Saints are doing a Gaff/North number which could be irresistible. Alternatively, I'm completely wrong and and he wants to come home because he can get paid a fortune and might be over living in shitsville.
  5. I would agree with that, but the Saints offer is insane and might be to good to refuse.
  6. The three remaining clubs in the race are $t Kilda, Hawks and lol Carlton. Bummers obviously didn't cough up enough cash.
  7. 194cm skinny outside midfielder* Screams Cale Morton to me. *Never seen him play
  8. I think the bar was lifted with Hogan. There was precious little relief from the clowns masquerading as journos badgering him about his contract and intentions, two effing years before a signature was required.
  9. Carlton? No After Melbourne he played for Williamstown before returning to WA. He then played for a WAFL team I think.
  10. I get about 10 seconds per minute of coverage, then buffering and whatever. Signing out now and look forward to the B & F feedback from those there or others with better streaming. Go Dees
  11. Appreciate his efforts at the club over the years. As passionate about the club as any going around. All the best and here's hoping the Butrgatron Phantom Draft makes a long awaited return.
  12. VDB's contract would've had a trigger clause to get him his second year. Unfortunately he cant get his body right. He could barely train over the last 3 weeks of his 6 week season. I think it's reasonable to offer him one year deal with a trigger clause. I don't begrudge him the opportunity to be on Sydney's injury list for the next 3 years.
  13. 4 & 5 (or whatever that ends up being). Hogan is a KPP yet to reach his prime. To echo Grazman, I'm don't get why posters sell us so short, or do they think we'll be pushovers at the trade table? I would happily use one to trade for May with plenty of change. I would also like to use one in the draft. I would also happily trade both for Kelly and change, which is a pipe dream I'd like to keep running with.
  14. I got sucked in too. I thought China Southern or Virgin were putting on a flight and MFC were doing a reasonable package to get members to and from the game. Not too much to ask eh! SIX tickets FFS
  15. I loved the fact that the crowd was 60-40 our way. How did that happen? I loved the fact that the crowd was 70-30 our way v the cats the week before. Those two clubs are way bigger than us on the membership scale. It just goes to show what a few decent wins can do to drag all those Melb supporters out of the woodwork.
  16. I'll be in the queue for a Priority 2 ticket and will be mightily effed off if some non-member barcode beggar gets a seat ahead of me. On ya bike (putting it very politely)
  17. Oscar's field kicking has been excellent for some time now. He just doesn't miss targets. Very happy to have the ball in his hands at the moment (for kicking )
  18. It's sad this is the case. It was only last year he was lauded for his forward pressure. What the hell went wrong? https://thewest.com.au/sport/goals-a-bonus-for-melbourne-demons-tackling-machine-jeff-garlett-ng-b88528653z
  19. I think Tom and Phil should be at Gold Coast. Phil could be the nutrition expert, along with Dewy. If Gold Coast looked like making finals, it would be opportune to move Scully on, to say Carlton or Freo.
  20. Hannan isn't the elite runner that Smith is, particularly with his dodgy knee. Harmes isn't slow either, but I don't think he'll go to Smith (at the start anyway).
  21. He left Geelong because he had kids really young ? To sum up - nothing was his fault and to echo Steve above, rambling rubbish.
