WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
Very nice for someone to take a hanger in a school game but there’s a long, long road to the place of a professional football match.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
The problem is that the Suns have two captains with one all but out of the door and the other being courted by one of the strong established AFL Clubs. This is not only going to be terribly destabilizing for the Suns internally but it’s also going to make it very hard for them to recruit players to the club.

St. Kilda v Melbourne - 2006 Elimination Final
Did Jolly leave because of better opportunity elsewhere, the money, the fact that he liked the Sydney lifestyle better or some other reason?

Anyone for cricket?
And I would add "pizzweak".I wonder if this phenomenon is contributing to our dearth of quality batters coming to the fore in the longer version of the game? Warner aside, very few are making the adjustment from having to score off every ball against some strange bowling and field placings compared to playing a responsible test match innings.

Boy, do I have a Jack for you? Knightmare's 2011 Mock Draft on bigfooty currently has Jack Charleston down as pick 52 which, conveniently enough, would make him a Demon (previously had him going to Collingwood for a later pick). You can also have Jack Crisp, Jack Newnes or Jackson Paine if you want.

Top 25
I picked up the Geelong Advertiser yesterday after a big day surfing on the coast and I had a bit of a giggle at Andrew Bews best 25 players in the AFL. No offence to our only nominee in the group (Robbo at 21 and ahead of Riewoldt) but I think he's way off beam with that selection. (Sorry but I couldn't find an internet link) 1. Matthew Pavlich (Fremantle) 2. Adam Goodes (Sydney) 3. Chris Judd (WCE) 4. Ben Cousins (WCE) 5. Ryan O’Keefe (Sydney) 6. Simon Goodwin (Adelaide) 7. Dean Cox (WCE) 8. Jonathan Brown (Brisbane) 9. Daniel Kerr (WCE) 10. Steven Baker (St. Kilda) 11. Nathan Brown (Rich) 12. Jason Akermanis (WBulldogs) 13. Nathan Buckley (Collingwood) 14. Matthew Lloyd (Essendon) 15. Matthew Scarlett (Geelong) 16. Luke Hodge (Hawthorn) 17. Brent Harvey (Kangas) 18. James Clement (Collingwood) 19. Craig Bolton (Sydney) 20. James Hird (Essendon) 21. Russell Robertson (Melb) 22. Paul Chapman (Geelong) 23. Warren Tredrea (Port Adelaide) 24. Nick Riewoldt (St. Kilda) 25. Lance Whitnall (Carlton) FWIW Bews siad he regards St. Kilda, Kangaroos and Adelaide as being in trouble in the future.
