I know I'm very, very slow about this but last weekend the 3AW crew were discussing the question of which players from your club had to stand up in 2007 in order for your team to make the finals and possibly win a flag? I caught the end of the discussion and one of the commentators nominated Colin Sylvia. I think someone else said he didn't think it would be this year for Col but the next. Based on his youth and the fact that he's had a limited pre-season. So if not Col, who do you think we need to stand up in 2007?

This thread makes interesting reading. It started off by someone asking "where in the world is Heath Neville?" and now it's about Brad Miller and Adem Yze. So where in the world is Heath Neville in all this?

Given that he played about half a season last year with Sandy twos and was out injured the rest of the time, it's a wonder that anyone can recognise him!

If I remember correctly the club did something similar with him this time last year and he was full of running by the NAB Cup and the early season games.

Geelong has suspended S. Johnson from the senior playing group indefinitely. All of his training will take place with the club's VFL squad under coach Leigh Tudor and he will not be invited back with the senior squad until such time as he proves that his attitude and behaviour have changed and that he is willing to be a responsible and contributing member of the club. Johnson's suspension from the senior group will be reviewed no sooner than the sixth round of the season. That is a long time for someone to sober up!

Two things that enhance your chances of winning a premiership - (a) MUST finish top four and hopefully get home finals all the way and (B) have a fit and healthy list at the business end. After that, you've just got to win three games.

I'd have any of the three subs plus Wheatley ahead of Ward, we need Miller at CHF and on certain days I'm not sure if Holland is going to be the best bet for match ups in the back pocket.

I think we want to see some of our younger players get an opportunity and perhaps see how Mark Jamar goes in a game if we rest Jeff White and give the Russian the main responsibility in ruck.

My one misgiving about the design is the Demon face logo. I'd like to see it looking a bit more ferocious. The one on the logo looks a little bored. He needs some sharp nasty looking fangs or something!
