  1. To all those who said Paul Johnson was no good, should be de-listed etc etc have a look at the guy now, he's a star! Yesterday he was definately up in Melbourne's best and gets better and better each week. He has a good kick on him and his shots at goal are getting better too. He also has great versatility, while he is shining at full forward he can also help us out in the ruck. I have always been a big fan of Johnson's and knew he had it in him to be outstanding, he just seemed hampered by injury. Well done PJ
  2. PJ gets my vote, the "chase" did it for me
  3. Bit harsh, he's hardly had time to prove himself and in regard to the club's money issues, it's going to take a lot more than a new CEO to fix that.
  4. For anyone at the game yesterday, did anyone find the Dockers/Fockers supporters annoying as I did  I left the game with a ringing and ache in one of my ears, from their over reacting everytime the Dockers got a goal. Melb supporters behind me also remarked you would of thought they had won the grand final. Booing and carrying on I thought you lot are worse than Collingwood supporters. Maybe if they actually won a finals game they could have reason to boo etc, but they've done squat. To be honest I was embarrassed for them, especially when they were chanting Freo Forever (cringe) <_< I was impressed with the support Melbourne received from fans, even when it was obvious we were going to lose the supporters were still chanting and supporting the team, which was great :D
  5. Great pic, absolute cracker. Can someone please tell me the exact time of this run down? Am failing to see it on any highlights etc...I was taking a drink break when it happened
  6. Agreed condemned 84, both funny and entertaining!
  7. Sorry Doggo just got a bit carried away in my thinking of what could become of PJ!!
  8. Why is it a strange question Doggo? Seems to have gauged some interest, so can't be that strange.
  9. Yes he is a tall unit (Tower) and I think he just keeps getting better and better. As much as White is a great veteran of the Melbourne Football Club it's time to retire. Jamar is too inconsistent.
  10. Could this big man be our new #1 ruckman? He played really well on the weekend.
  11. For starters White was absolutely hopeless today, but he hasn't been good in a very long time. PJ was excellent today and not just his ball handling etc, but I like how he is a team player, unlike players such as Roberston who never hand the ball off etc While I am not writing Robertson off, I just don't like those who try and make a hero of themselves. Maximum Bob are you a Melbourne supporter? How could a supporter be so cynical and your comment about PJ shows how much of a true supporter you are, PJ made a mark last year and is playing again this year, give it a rest. Good on you PJ!
  12. OI there, watch what you say. I'm from WA, don't tar us all the with same brush...
  13. Shows how much you know, you forgot to add there has only been one year where he was actually able to play...broken leg, broken collar bone and full shoulder recon have kept him out...haven't seen enough of him to judge.
  14. Your comments are really harsh and you call yourself a Melbourne "supporter". Did you even watch the game? If you did you would have heard the commentators comment that he was doing well and should be given a chance. Can you honestly say he was the worst out there...I think not. Jamar did NOTHING. So lay off.
  15. I'm very sorry to hear that, my condolences to yourself and his family, RIP.
  16. I think Bruce is a great player...but while we are talking about lack of respect for players...I think Paul Johnson doesn't gets as much credit as he should. The guy has had broken leg, broken colar bone and full shoulder reconstruction...from these injuries he has also had other problems which have prevented him playing as much as he could. Give the guy a chance, just before he did his shoulder last year, he was doing really well. In the pre season games I saw I thought he did better than Jamar. I just think some of you should give the guy a break, the coah obviously thinks he has something to have re-signed him on for a further two years or whatever.
  17. All spotlight is on the Eagles, but they are not the ONLY team in the AFL that has had to or will have to deal with drugs amongst players. The Eagles won the premiership so obviously they are going to be in the spotlight more and now that Cousins has come out and said he has a problem the flood gates open for all kinds of allegations. At the end of the day Cousins is now on leave to try and fix his problem...sure it's probably not a very good image for the Eagles, but the whole thing seems to be going on and on. I am not going to mention names, but there have beem instances in the past and they have not recieved nearly as much coverage as the whole Eagles/Ben Cousins thing.
  18. What about P Johnson, anyone know why he didn't play??
  19. Spoken to Paul Johnson, Matthew Bate, Nathan Carroll and Mark Jamar...all very nice guys, not at all rude. The players seem down to earth compared to what i've heard about players from other AFL teams.
  20. Thanks guys, very interesting. I mean you hear the rumours and you know they exist, it's just no one really writes about them in the papers... <_<
  21. In relation to the Eagles subject...Whoever makes those comments should really check their sources. I live in Perth and while all this talk is going on in Melbourne, nothing has been said here?? It's actually quite funny to hear the rumours etc I'm not saying the Eagles are angels, but I would like to know where this lady gets her info.
  22. There are some other similiar photos out there too...Paul Johnson looks in good form, with his shirt off!! That photos wasn't in the above though.
