Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition
Dee Zephyr replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
No worries Gonz, I see it differently. No issue with the criticism on his performance, I just don’t think it should be open season on him personally because he’s a pro sportsman. Some comments from the media and here are really harsh. We were quick to defend a young Lever from the Tex and Adelaide comments when he came over and now some here are doing the same thing to Jackson they despised all those years ago. -
Just a quick good luck to Toby Bedford, will debut for the Giants this week.
-
Who’s says Goody doesn’t change things up? Fritta at CHB and McVee in the forward pocket will prove a master stroke.
-
We aren’t resting many. I’d go with Harmes as sub.
-
Concussion, collided with Sparrow late in the game.
-
Schache to debut.

Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition

It’s almost bullying what Jackson is copping. People never learn. -
We see it completely different, Gus got to the ball a microsecond before Dusty. His sole intention was to prevent Dusty gaining possession and the fact no teammate was near is irrelevant. It was an intercept.
-
How intense was the session @kev martin?
-
Lol, the ball had already bounced hence you can’t spoil it. It was a kick along the ground from Prestia ffs, if someone can show me the rule where it states a bouncing ball can’t be spoiled over the line I’ll stand corrected. What else was Gus meant to do?

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
Dee Zephyr replied to Timothy Reddan-A'Blew's topic in Melbourne Demons
Teams are really worried about Kozzie and he’s getting a little extra physical attention from what I’ve seen the last two weeks. Kelly last week was holding him, throwing little elbows at him behind the play. I don’t think he’s in terrible form. -
It was ok, Goody was happy we won the way we did. Scott is just trying to implement a game style that’s competitive against the better teams. The thing of interest was that both coaches think a mid-season trade period is on the way. Inevitable they said.

Sorry to disappoint but Cats have us covered by 2 points for highest scoring team.

One for the who gives a stuff file. No team so far has won the week after playing us.

Ripper contest.

I think Pies will smash them.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell when you’re carrying on like an absolute lunatic, I thought it was around 50/50 until I heard the noise at 3/4 time after Oliver’s goal.
-
The ball bouncing has nothing to do with the rule nor is it stated in the rules. My take on it is that Brayshaw’s intent was solely to intercept the ‘bouncing ball’ prior to an opponent gaining advantage, not to deliberately push it OOB. Plus he was at least 20 metres in from the boundary. Just thought that was extremely stiff.
-
That’s garbage, if Gus doesn’t dive and punch the ball away Dusty was off and gone. That’s as good as a spoil to me.
-
Brayshaw went at 95%. Come on mate

I rarely lose my sh.t when it comes to umps , but fair dinkum layz, the two decisions against Gus one for deliberate and the other for ball when he clearly got a boot on it had me blowing a valve.

Tonight showed us how close the comp is right now. True grit from 25 down. If there’s one moment to stand out from tonight, it was Hunter winning a clutch ball on the Members’ wing just before 3/4 time to set up the Oliver goal on the siren. The roar after Oliver’s goal was the loudest I’ve heard here since the Wattsy 2017 QB goal.

That would be absolute sheethouse if we got that
