  1. I did see 10-7 at one stage...now 28-11.
  2. Cheers. Tuned in late, Casboult broke his finger in the warm-up? Stiff.
  3. Are Carlton doing a T Mac move with Rowe going forward?? Come on the Baggers!!
  4. I think the question is not the right one. I don’t believe we need saving at 8-5. A better question would be can we improve as the year goes on? Most definitely IMO...and just remember what happened around this time last year. We weren’t blessed on the injury front as it was, then we lost some more key personnel. Goodwin has a lot more to work with than this time last year.
  5. Unbelievable. Heartbreaking for the Swedish fans. This is turning out to be one hell of a tournament with so much more still to play out. Mexico is my “Smokey”, never underestimate the Central Americans. ‘Chicharito’ with his 50th international goal for the Mexicans.
  6. Well done Macca. Phew, that was a tight finish. The caller thought ‘ City Light’ nosed out ‘Merchant Navy’. Thanks for posting the replay. Nice trifecta divvy on the Vic tote.
  7. That bet should not have lost binman. The close misses are piling up this weekend. Unlucky mate.
  8. Well done Wallis!! Out on the full, are you serious??
  9. Marcus Adams goes alright, that is when he’s not injured.
  10. O Mac can accept a $2000 fine for the Marshall clash. Careless conduct with low impact to the head as judged by Mr MRO. Some of us believed it didn’t deserve a 50m penalty. I thought you were allowed to compete for the ball. What’s one to do when in midair? Stick out an elbow out like Jeremy Cameron?
  11. 5 mins to go second quarter. Dogs 6-3-39 Free kicks 25 Norf 2-3-15
  12. We almost had the tri, at least I thought I did until Shillelagh came from the clouds. Very close today fellas.
  13. Call me silly but I can see 3 wins at least in there with their effort last night and a few tweaks. Tough?? Yes....but not impossible.
  14. Not that it would have made a difference but I did speak to mate prior to the race and connections were a bit perplexed why they went with Park as the jockey. They wanted the same apprentice as his first-up run so they could claim down to 51kg.
  15. Terrific win by Nature Strip. Smashed them really. El wasn’t disgraced in that grade, looked like the horse ran 1400m rather than 1100m by the time it took to get to the outside rail. Hopefully he’ll be better for the run.
  16. Don’t bother with him binman. You have a better chance of snagging the quaddie than talk sense into the Doc.
  17. I recall Lewis getting tackled to the ground by Dixon from memory after a mark and nothing.
  18. Was that a fair hit? Haven’t gone back to watch the incident but it looked like he was hit away from the ball.
  19. Shame about last night fellas, we carry on though with the “Best Bets”. Randwick R9 No.1 Bandipur. $2.50. Always a risk backing a horse first-up in the heavy but the horse competed well in stakes level last prep. Trialled well recently, goes well on a heavy track and the wide barrier might be an advantage late in the day.
  20. The only improvement I want to see is one ladder position better than last year. Is that too much to ask?????????????
  21. 6. Viney 5. Brayshaw 4. T Mac 3. Jetta 2. Fritsch 1. Gawn
  22. Did someone post 17-11 our way at half time? That means 19-7 Port in second half. Seems fair, especially when you win the contested ball most of the night.
  23. Doesn’t matter who plays well at Casey tomorrow. Garlett can kick 10 and the usual suspects will bob up to say it was against an amateur side in Coburg. Love it when people suggest Garlett doesn’t do enough in the VFL but we bring guys straight back in without playing VFL.
