Higgins out is massive, he’s the kind of player that tends to cut us up.

Tyson looked like the next Pendlebury with time and space in tight but it turned out he was just slow. Havjng said that, he played a crucial role for us when needed. Kelly and Salem are very different but would be very happy with either.

I don’t mind the idea of Melksham coming back in but if he’s anything like the player of last year he needs to be straight back out. His “efforts” last year were putrid.

There was a passage of play in I think the third quarter where he ran about 30 metres to put pressure on a GWS player with the ball. The GWS player was under no pressure and had a lot of space but Pickett just rubbing at him resulted in the ball going out of bounds. One of the best pressure acts I have seen for a very long time.

We are a chance against Geelong because they aren’t quick but the other teams will have our measure.

It blows my mind that none of Oliver’s teammates did anything to help.

Sparrow will come out. McDonald would want to find his early season form quickly. Lever will never be dropped but his brain fades and skill errors cost us a few goals directly each week.

With the way we are playing there is no way teams like Sydney and the Bulldogs will beat us.

We have only kicked four more goals than them and they are depleted by injuries.

How can anyone defend Lever now?
