Can’t hit a simple target. Sydney would never have players like Langdon or Hunt on their team. For all their upside they just can’t be trust to hit targets consistently by foot.

I don’t understand how opposition defenders are always to the ball before our forwards. Also, I don’t like the style we are playing. Sydney have show how to play with new rules, move the ball quickly with precision passing to an open forward line. We are moving the ball so slowly and often to just a contest down the line.

Basic skill errors.

Second to the ball, looking for the tackle when we should be putting our head over the ball and getting it ourselves.

An umpire just called play-on to Wines who was running straight back behind the mark from kick. They are going to ruin the new man on mark rule if umpires keep calling play-on when they shouldn’t.

On Sydney, one thing they always have is players who use the ball well. Zak Jones is one of the rare players who wasn’t a great kick and they moved him on. You would never see them with a player like Jayden Hunt.

Sydney were clearly tanking, St Kilda weren’t that good, Geelong benefited from the shorter quarters thanks to their geriatric list, Brisbane didn’t have to travel and we did have to travel lots and were cooked having to play in Cairns twice.

I didn’t think it at the time but I’m starting to realise that much of 2020 was an aberration.

How many Sydney players playing are from their academy?

It worked for us from 2007 until 2018 so I can see why Richmond are going for it.

Sydney are a top four lock.

They should have been taken seriously since round one, they still have a core of star players and a host of academy players.
