The issue isn't how often he gets the ball or how he uses it. This has nothing to do with what people are complaining about, The problem is his work rate, his desire to win the ball and willingness to put his body on the line to do the things all AFL players are expected to do week in, week out.

We seem to have had a lot of doomsday predictions come true lately, I wouldn't rule this one out.

I mentioned this during the game on Sunday but when Melbourne had a kick-in Watts was following his opponent around instead of running away from him!

I'm amazed the players don't otherwise take themselves to the game.

Players run to give their teammates an option. It must take years of training to learn that if you run to space you can get the ball.

The worst part is that Melbourne players don't move. I understand that when there is a zone there isn't a lot of space ot move into but if one Melbourne player moves then there is space from where he moved from which then allows another Melbourne player to move into that space and so on.

Anyone who defends Watts' game but watched it on TV needs to understand that they would have missed 90% of his soft, lazy and weak efforts around the ground. Most of if happened off the ball so unless you were at the game, please understand this.

Another example of just looking at the stats sheet and not the game.

That's the thing, he doesn't try! That's what we're saying and you are completely blind if you think otherwise.

A lack of run all game killed Melbourne. You could hear the frustration in the stands as players looked up with the ball and saw 17 flat-footed teammates. There was no movement, none. This contributed heavily to Melbourne taking so long to dispose of the ball.

That's true, after all Frawley's first goal was so clearly touched.

If you don't run, you don't win. Melbourne didn't run. That free kick to Ablett was a disgrace.

Forget about the score, the worry was the refusal to run, chase, lead, man-up and shepherd. The Suns should have won by more. Again, Watts just floats around and is so soft that it's actually embarrassing.

McDonald needs to be locked in a gym, with a skills coach.

I just don't understand how our players can make it to the AFL and yet refuse to run to create an option to kick to.

If he was playing kick-to-kick he would be a star, but he's not.

I just don't know how anyone can defend Watts. Everything he does he does at about 20%. He doesn't man-up and he provides such meek leads.
