Second spot remains a possibility for us.

Been listening from the start, it’s good. Always hoped that Broden secretly posted on here.

I think we have enough small forwards already, not sure Chandler is needed with Pickett and ANB in the team already (plus Woewodin). Alternatively, Smith could be in the team and Hibberd the sub.
-
Good changes so far, great to see Tomlinson straight back into the 22 (four weeks too late). I suspect the final bench will be: Melksham, Rivers, Hibberd, Jordon with Smith the sub.

Contracted Tomlinson Looks to Move On?

Shocked to hear this given Goodwin doesn’t play favourites. -
Who remembers when Gawn had a serious knee injury at the start of the season and we thought he would be out for a year? No one in the media was questioning the Grundy trade then.

Judd McVee and the Rising Star Award

I’m still not convinced he has a real name, sounds like a cover for something but boy has he been good this season. The composure that he, Bowey and Salem bring is excellent. -
Correct.

Shame we didn’t do it with Noah Anderson and Zak Butters.
-
I didn’t even notice Neale until the second quarter. It’s amazing what happens when you try to curtail the opposition’s best players.
-
My only gripe was JVR got a massive shove directly in front which wasn’t paid and then Daniher got his later on. Both were free kicks but only one was paid. Overall, the umpiring we have had this has been good, the Richmond game was by far the worst.

Carlton finally delivering on the quality of their list. If we can snatch third and play Port in the finals that would be huge.

My 3 word player analysis V Brisbane
Straight Sets Simon replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
We literally blew our 2022 premiership chances because the coach played favourites all year and chose to go in with injured and underdone players over Casey players who lost one game for the season. Meanwhile, Geelong’s Dad’s Army team managed their players correctly through the year and won the flag. Goodwin is working with a once in 20 year quality list, we should be contending for multiple premierships. ANB is a role player, his role can be replaced by many other players. And I don’t care what Tom McDonald thinks about this. -
We would have won at least theee more games had we played him earlier.
-
Tomlinson for Petty regardless.
-
I don’t understand the talk from some in the media that it’s either Brown or Grundy. They play a totally different role, if anything the resting Ruck should be at the expense of a small forward.
-
I’d happily have another resting ruck at the expense of a small forward.

6. Petracca 5. Melksham 4. Gawn 3. Viney 2. McVee 1. Rivers

The way Rivers took the game on in the end was so important, he broke it open. Also, May kicking long down the middle from a kick in and it resulting in a goal, more of that please.
-
The key in the end was we stopped loading and playing an injured Harry Petty.

The Joel Smith difference. Melksham you star.
