You and me, but why change something that is working so well? Smith has been our best forward since coming into the team, finally we dropped Chandler but not bringing in JVR is insane.

It all starts with bad team selection and the right mix of forwards being out of whack.

If we wanted to save the season then we needed to start dropping the likes of ANB, Pickett and Chandler a few weeks ago.

Extremely poor list and player management cost us a chance at a flag in 2022 (historically dominant Casey season with no reward for those players while the senior team was full of niggles and underdone players) and it looks like history is repeating in 2023.

True, we barely rewarded anyone from a Casey team who only lost one game for the year last year while most of the senior team were apparently injured or underdone. Genius.

His forward pressure is excellent, he adds much needed structure as a forward target and can bob up for goals. Either way we are screwed without Fritsch.

No way Smith goes out. Chandler or Pickett out before him. JVR for Fritsch and we are still a medium/tall forward short so ideally need someone else. Dare I say Tomlinson in to the backline and Petty forward.
