  1. Giving no secrets away, they will use a hand held to have a close look at a players kicking action, assume from both a footy and bio mechanics angle, sorry talking to one of the fitness guys about running styles and how they may and change a players if it is impacting their body adversely
  2. Hannan was there, have a couple of pics later, no sign of Gus
  3. I thought we were going to cut and paste They kicked They handballef They marked Etc Another really good session, lots of ball movement drills Crossy and at one point Macca, pounded the rehab group again Of the young draftees Sparrow and Chandler seem to be settling the quickest Corey Wagner looks like what he is, a player who has been on an AFL list before, neat and tidy skills, handling the training loads May got his feet tangled up in marking drill and crashed to the ground, think the Jatz got involved, spent a minute or two on his haunches KK is starting to stand out in the ball movement drills with his 2 way running At the end of the session Nietschke and Jordon got some one on one tutoring from Nev Jetta Preuss' skills for a big man are very good, have still not seen him miss a kick, no matter the conditions or distance Goodwin 'very vocal' today On the tech side as some have asked, there is a camera on a pole at one end of the field, they have a side on, they also utilise hand held and now have a drone, so coaches have no shortage of vision Will post some pics tonight
  4. Er apart from Hore, I have watched Viney, Brayshaw, Jetta, Harmes, Oliver, Petracca and Melksham in rehab so their pre season form has been hard to judge, although they have trained well
  5. Actually I'll end by saying, prefer to go with what the players and fitness staff are telling me, do get some absolute [censored] from some players but there are others I trust to give me a straight answer to a simple question, so as I have said would be surprised, barring any mishaps between now and then, to see only 2 or 3 still in rehab post Xmas
  6. Sorry expert but I asked, interrupted pre season is where they are off legs and it impacts their fitness base The craft sessions etc are there to refine their skills, if we have 2nd and above year players who can't handball, kick or don't understand the game plan, then you need to ask why they are still on the list Most in the rehab wiil rejoin after Xmas with theif fitness base intact, which is the main aim of the preseason, to get miles into legs. Hence why James Harmes was worked over in the running last Friday to the point of dry retching and telling me that was the hardest running session he had done at the club, so not interrupted? Of course you wouldnt have seen that as you are safely sniping from a distance
  7. No actually get my information and opinion on how they are going from the players and the fitness staff, although I keep some of the information to myself, so mine was an opinion similar to yours I was saying with them not being 1st year players they have a fitness base On you valuing my reporting, as if I care bloke
  8. It's not interrupted, most are running, it is just contact and match sim they are missing, they are all doing a bit of craft work Crossy and the rest have rehab down pat now, as per Viney last year Is it not 1st year players either, most have had a couple of pre seasons under their belt, expect most to be ready to go post Xmas Maybe only Lever and Tim Smith (foot injury) the only 2 delayed
  9. Actually May managed to push Preuss off the line of the ball once My lovely lady can attest to the size of May close up after the incident yesterday and we are talking body size only??? she has left it to me to do the gun check???
  10. Already had 2 ruck craft sessions in the open with Greg Stafford
  11. Absolutely no chance of that, even Lewis with a squillion pre seasons under his belt was doing extra, was in last Friday As for the extra work over the break, every player has an individual program that goes all year round Weid obviously told he needs bit of extra weight so has been 'working' on it, assume once back 'under control' they will have another look Spoke to James Harmes after he finished his outside rehab, asked him what was planned for rest of day for him and he rattled it off
  12. Another one who seems to have done extra in the break That will be post Xmas, apart from a couple of one on one drills, but that's usually mix and match, had Preuss and May doing battle
  13. Bradtke is a project player with a capital P, assume they will concentrate on the ruck first up, he can kick goals, practices at training, so you could plonk him in the goal square Walker is another addition to the growing list of medium size players who can play anywhere,
  14. Really good, made him laugh saying I was talking to a man now, reckon he is setting himself up for a big season, looking sharp every session
  15. 15 in the rehab group today, I asked, the majority expected to be ready to go post Xmas My lovely lady went for a walk to far side of oval, happily leaning on the fence to be greeted by the sight of Steven May charging directly at her chasing an errant kick, managed to apply the brakes at the fence, just, being a gentleman, apologised at the end the session for scaring the [censored] out of her Think he is out to prove himself, which is great to see, attacking every session, asked a couple of players, he was [censored] on Friday when a couple of players thought they could step around him, hence why he buried them Bradtke was again praised for a couple of nice kicks during the kicking drills, reports of his demise premature Great to see Bernie Vince back Only a couple of running drills, majority of the session, ball and craft work, great to see in early December Garlett in magnificent nick, obviously did heaps over the break Asked Weid, put on another 1 and 1/2 kilos of muscle over the break, another one who looks in great nick Any questions feel free
