  1. Again, to enlighten the rest of us, why is your understanding of what it takes superior to everyone else?
  2. You are asking the questions, you just have an issue with anybody who has a different opinion to you I have actually chatted to recruiters, including Jason Taylor and his team, to try and understand the decisions taken It is not an exact science, because, believe or not, they are dealing with players who are actually human beings, with everything that entails I am looking forward to the next AGM when you can ask these hard questions of yours
  3. Accountability? Nobody is oerfect, although some on here think they are Can I ask again, are you or have you ever been involved with an AFL club at any level? Everybody is accountable and sooner or later, particularly in the footy industry are moved on if they don't cut it Are you in a position to influence the decision on Taylor and his team, if not you are just waffling from hindsight
  4. Full of what?
  5. So for all us lesser mortals can you come out from behind your nickname and tell us who you really are, only to check out your bona fides You seem to be such an expert on all facets of the modern game from recruiting to fitness via administration, you surely must be involved at the highest level
  6. I thought I would answer this one as again you have misquoted I said their fitness would not be impacted, which it wasn't, returning from rehab they were plylhysically ready to go Form and consistency are something different altogether If you must consistently try and point score, try getiing your facts correct, can happily put tour childish mutterings back on ignore noe
  7. You must not have played sport a couple of wins and the momentum rolls a couple of defeats and the pressure ramps up
  8. Exactly right, it feeds on itself I have watched every particular skill instructed and practiced at training We have two of the best development coaches, recognised by their peers, in McCartney and Egan It is just not happening in games And for those with short memories the same coaches had the team flying last year You can see the frustration on the coaches at the end of the game, excellent training and skill sessions, meetings etc etc during the week and then......
  9. I'm surprised, with your extensive knowledge of the game, that you haven't put your hand up When did you complete your Level 4 I go to training and I am yet to hear a coach tell a player to miss a simple handball, kick to the feet of a leading forward, try a switch to a player who is outnumbered etc etc Our present predicament lies with the players The effort is there just not the execution
  10. I spoke to a couple of the sliders 'buck who?' ???
  11. 'he said from the comfort of his chair'
  12. They are told to relax and practice their technique, that's half the issue in games, overthinking it Pro golfers get the putting yips, so the comparison is not the perfect one
  13. My point is I have watched training since the start of presason, they practice goal kicking every session, most times they slot them, even from different distances and difficult angles, come game day though.... . and the explanation is?
  14. Nah that's a bench that moves around Goschs, when it was close, players used it, but only Tommy Mc and Preuss???
  15. Feeling his way as a full time footballer On Tom Sparrow, was wearing a 'bandage' that went from his groin to his calf, not sure what injury that is
  16. The ball is out of frame he whacked it about 30 metres
  17. Hore, Viney, Lever and Hannan didn't train Salem is fine Lewis trained strongly You can practice goal kicking at training till the cows come home, completely different in a game
  18. The normal suspects have bagged him hard, please don't speak for everybody, he was brought to the club for lots of reasons, the positives have far outweighed the perceived negatives
  19. You really have no idea do you, deciding whether to pull the trigger when there is another human being in front of you, enemy or not, bears no resemblance to deciding whether to tackle a player or not Footy is a game, which unfortunately these days is analysed 24/7, nobody dies if your team loses, we have a myriad of media, all chasing the next headline, which encourages tge next paragraph Some of the trolling displayed on here, not only against other posters, but also players like Omac and Weid disgusts me Anyone can be a hero hiding behind a keyboard Carlton sacked a coach, you would think with all the media that Bolton was a child killer, he wasn't, he is a guy that failed at his job and was moved on, happens every day in ' the real world', except of course in politics and unions
  20. You mean like I metaphor a drink, and she continually laughed at my ideas about footy Is McArtney, Paul's brother, coz that's the way I pronounce it As an ex military person, footy has no resemblance to it whatsoever It sticks in my craw, everytime I see the drivel they produce to advertise the Anzac game An example of 2 great players who 'climbed the mountains' and 'fought in the trenches', but failed spectacularly as coaches, Voss and Hird
  21. What have I told you about putting facts, it only confuses posters
  22. There was nothing wrong with the weather Thought the consensus on here was all AFL listed players shouldn't need to be coached to kick, they should know how to KK has now gone the helmet, nice looking on as well Lever was fine, running unhindered, could be all smoke and mirrors, assume it will be no risk policy
  23. On Demonland, absolutely no chance of that, the experts have spoken as per the norm, some of the posts, absolute twaddle
