I am sure Roos and his FD have a very good idea on who they want to retain, delist etc, but I am sure he also wants to field the fittest, most in form 22 each week, don't forget the idea is to win, hence my knee jerk comment. My take on yesterday, we are on a marathon coming from a long way back, yesterday we 'hit the wall', just a matter of running through that mental barrier now
-
The point I was making if you bother to read what I wrote, rather than just an attack, is Roos doesn't agree with your opinion, he did say the 'kids' looked tired, he also said players 'in the seconds' will still have to earn games, rather than what I perceived from you to be a typical Demonland knee jerk reaction and get rid of 'young players' and bring more in Roos doesn't mean physically tired by the way, he means mentally tired, at AFL level, most of the players ability is between the ears Sook, moi, with something a poster on Demonland wrote...haha...I don't need to grow up, I just don't agree with what you posted and have explained why, comprende?
-
So not through the draft then? I thought we needed forwards?, and key defenders? and running halfbacks, still reckon the 72 on the list is the way to go
-
Listen to Roos' presser, he doesn't agree with you....last week we had a team of world beaters now we have a team of no hopers, marvellous what a loss does, suck it up
-
Roos in his post match presser said along with Vince, Watts was one of our better players, good enough for you?
-
You are on Demonland, what do you expect? I for one expected some time we would have a bump, we are not enough of a team yet to produce week in week out, this week was it, last week against Essendon was close, but this week we just couldn't lift when it was required

Sorry my quote won't work, so you are watching him in the NEAFL? Riley what you mean his 2 games? Ask Stanton about Jordie McKenzie's pressure Bail, completely different role, and Terlich, so you would take a ball magnet and play him as a small defender, like I said ridiculous comment Mitchell's disposal average in AFL is 19, so not a ball magnet, same as Dom Tyson, a young developing midfielder, might interest Roos
-
So the Scorps are being run on shoestring, MFC will just about break even this season, so where do we find the minimum $500K needed for a standalone VFL team, or do you want to take it from the AFL teams footy department budget?
-
Damn quote won't work, Sydney needed a midfielder to replace Hanneberry and went with Zack Jones and not Mitchell, that tells you something, whoever Roos picks will do me Why would he be in the best 22? ridiculous comment, how many games have you watched him play?
-
Forgot this bit hopefully this is on topic, for everybody that was concerned about a certain Nathan Jones' availability, looks like he becomes a father on Monday Also promised me not to expend all his nervous energy proudly watching his younger brother debut for the Swans at the G tonight, told him I didn't think he would make a very good spectator

Consistency, he is like Strauss, when you read Allison's reviews they rate both but at the moment both are not putting it together consistently He looks fine at training, no issues and his kicking especially is excellent

He walks like John Wayne (for any youngsters look him up), and his slow running style is more of a lope, that doesn't seem to have changed neither has his faster speed which looks normal to me, he was on the other oval on Wednesday with 3 staff watching him closely, one I didn't recognise, I asked who he was and got mumbles, perhaps you are correct and they are exploring all avenues as to why the back gets stressed

No I am afraid he is just running laps and part laps on his own, in his breaks he looks wistfully at the drills taking place, I think they have his program down to the last step and he knows playing is at the end of it, if he sticks to it, he doesn't seem to have deteriorated physically at all with the inactivity

Went to training, leaned nonchalantly on a tree and observed the following:- Squad was split in two, Casey and AFL side, Blease and Nicholson with Casey, Terlich and Riley with AFL side Jesse Hogan did more running, speed up a bit on some runs, had a good chat to Andrew Nicol after he finished (Nicol is Player Development Manager, assume this covers their wellbeing as well), Jesse was relaxed and happy. Asked JKH about his demotion, was starting to feel AFL level in his legs, no full preseason, and had a slight dip in form, decided it was better for him to go back to Casey get some game miles into his legs and find his mojo again. For the Clisby admirers, ready to resume next week, fitness/medical rule, you need to complete one week of full training before you are considered for a game, he says he is ready this week but has to stick with the rule, had a bad tear in the tendon in his quad that took two more weeks than it should to settle down. Had a word with one of the forgottens, Dom Barry, they are trying to build him into a fully rounded player, with ability to play halfback and midfield, utilising his natural skills, has been getting run with roles to ensure he develops his defensive side, enjoying playing at the moment with the new challenges coaches throw at him, coaching staff 'are happy' with his progress, trying to just be consistent week in week out (a theme there). Spoke to Dean Terlich, he thinks what some posters thought as well, happened to be the 7th defender at completely the wrong time when team structure changed, just has to keep playing well and wait for an opportunity to open. Last off the track by about ten minutes were Viney and Tyson, practicing picking up a loose ball at pace and kicking for goal. Again any questions feel free.

I am not quite sure which bit you don't get, perhaps it's your comprehension skills, I'll try again, "I jokingly said to Jesse there were 30 pages of nervousness", he appreciated it.......got it now I was enquiring about his health so I could post for the benefit of the many interstate and overseas posters/readers on here who appreciate that sort of thing, not for you or the other ne'erdowells whose sole purpose is not to add anything to a topic apart from spitting vitriol at certain posters Would you like me to ask him how he is going again this morning? I don't hang over the fence by the way, I lean nonchalantly against one of the many fine Australian native trees surrounding the training track Again I'll repeat, don't read my posts, they seem to cause you extreme distress, perhaps there is also some latent masochism being displayed, methinks you take yourself way too seriously, I certainly don't.............you need to have a word with 'hardtack' or 'RGRS' they have successfully completed understanding Saty 101

I think you and Machsy really do need to revisit that specialist about those feelings of inadequacy you both keep getting, as I have said many times before, don't read my posts, it won't make me tear-up, I have stopped reading both of yours unless there is something like the above which needs clarifying
-
I spoke to Jordie at training, complimented him on his score involvements, laughed that they were handballs AGAIN......as from club website article as well, told me he has to keep improving each week on the offensive side of his game, to hold his spot
-
If you are not putting me down, it would be a first, you have no idea what I talk to the players about, or they tell me, mainly because you are not there with me, I actually publish some of the conversations I have because the interstate and overseas supporters like reading them, not to big note myself or start rumours, it gives them a sort of proxy one on one with the players that they can't have, and those lucky enough to live in Melbourne and get to training can I have also over time not published other conversations, because I have been told not to or decided not to myself As far as Jesse Hogan goes, to go back on topic, I had a chat to him before the QB game and he was very upbeat, and when I saw him do the forty minutes of running the other day at training.when he finished I went over to check how he was, jokingly making a reference to the nervousness on Demonland, which he appreciated, he was quite happy to tell me how he felt and it wasn't in the usual cliches, it was in 18-19yr old speak which I paraphrased Any time you want me to ask a question of the players feel free and I will get you an answer, apart from Frawley, everybody is getting a straight bat from him, I tweeted him a picture of a pen and asked him to use it, hopefully he will

Training - Wednesday 18th June, 2014
Satyriconhome replied to Satyriconhome's topic in Melbourne Demons
Rather than quote I'll just answer the questions, every training session has the team 'attacking', ie taking it from one end of the field to the other 'quickly', as Roos said in his presser, we do some really good stuff at training without any opposition, it's in games we falter, the drill consists of a guy kicking of halfback to the corridor to be marked and hopefully there a re players either side to carry the ball on Blease trained with the Casey group after the split, he looks really good at training, as I have said after watching Casey games, everybody, coaches included just want him to put 8 or 12 consistent quarters together, at the moment he will manage 3 then a poor one, then 2 good and 2 where he disappears and then 4 etc etc -
Completely wrong, I have actually asked most of the players, they are 'advised' to stay away from the fan forums, three quarters of them don't even read the sports pages in the newspapers. Most of the players know the supporters opinion of their playing ability, they hear it over the fence, and they get judged all the time in the media They are not stupid, they know if they are playing badly they won't be flavour of the month with the supporters I explained to Jimmy Toumpas why I was asking questions and he answered and told me I was free to quote him, he knows as a top five pick he should be 'tearing it up', but strangely he listens to the coaching staff more than the supporters The only reason the trolls have stopped hitting the players Twitter accounts is because Nathan Jones has told them to retweet to their followers if they get garbage and let the followers bombard the troll, works a treat Jesse Hogan was signing stuff before the QB game and knows the majority of the supporters want what he wants, to get on the park, coz most of them told him that, I spoke to him afterwards and he had enjoyed the comments
-
My quote never works here, if you have read my previous posts on training, I explained to Jimmy Toumpas why I was asking questions and would post answers on Demonland and he didn't have an issue , and he answered truthfully, I also ask permission every time as well, players don't have an issue, they get enough crap on Twitter, anybody can talk to the players, most like the interaction...told Jesse jokingly and he said he was cool

Been talking to Nev for five years, he is not lacking in confidence, just loving being in his preferred position and given a specific role, asked him why Chappy kept trying to hit him on Sunday, "I just told him he was old and past it".Think because of the past Nev has gone under the radar, like his mum, very knowledgable about footy, think the conversation with Roos was more along the lines of who he will get this weekend, same with Jordie
