  1. He wasn't outside, was told he was inside along with Spencer..decided to edit another bit in........think Misson is a big fan of the anti-gravity treadmill they have, getting the player to exercise with more body weight added gradually, assume apart from weights this is what Trengove will be playing with
  2. Not sure what you mean by that, Chip hasn't changed in all the time I have been talking to him, just a big ol country boy
  3. I did last week, as I said, if he has made up his mind, he is a either a bloody good liar, or I have lost the ability to pick it, only time will tell, he reiterated he still hadn't decided His rapport with the rest of the team, his voice at training, his training standards are the same as they have always been, he still bounces around like he always has He even joined in the soccer banter I was having with Christian Salem, as he supports Tottenham
  4. I have actually been surprised in the last two weeks on how hard Roos is driving them, considering we are only 3 games away from seasons end, it was non-stop for nearly an hour and a half today, from one drill to the next
  5. No, I doubt it, everybody picked looked like they were going to play
  6. First, spoke to Jesse Hogan, don't know what they have been doing, but he is in magnificent shape, complimented him and he said he was feeling great, looking forward to playing, expects to play about 80 minutes. Spoke to Dom Tyson, despite everything, said he had really enjoyed his first year with Melbourne, looking forward to getting a decent pre season under his belt, said he, Riley, Toumpas, Viney and Salem will really benefit if they can all get through it together. Asked him how he gets free at stoppages to kick those goals he gets, he thinks because they don't pay him enough respect at the moment and that Nathan Jones, who he couldn't speak highly enough of, gets all the attentiion, doesn't expect it to last if he keeps kicking them. Spoke to one of the forgotten ones in Jayden Hunt, he said he has been really disappointed to be crippled with an injury in his first year, when you need to make an impression, has got him down a bit, but the coaches and fitness staff are constantly in his ear encouraging and making sure he just knuckles down and does what he has to do, looking at being cherry ripe for pre season....similar injury to Jesse Hogan, but more impact coz Jayden is a slighter build at the moment. Spoke to Nev (of course) looking forward to the next two years, in Nev speak "play my role, keep it simple and do the job", thinks he will line up on Devon Smith this week, another good challenge as he put it, already has game face on. Spoke to Christian Salem about what was the real reason for Tony Pulis' sudden departure from Crystal Palace two days out from the start of the Premier League season. And Brad Miller was taking part in the some of the kicking drills this morning, dropped a sitter right in front of me, I had a good natured go at him, told me the ball was wet (which it was) and let me live. As per the norm, any questions, feel free.
  7. I think the task is beyond me with you, but no, just somebody who has spoken to Nev quite regularly and knows him quite well, so duh!
  8. Jack Watts was only a KPP because Demonland annointed him as one...I hate the labels.....I know Jesse Hogan is a 'forward' but my hope is he becomes the Roughead type forward and can pop up in the centre square or the wing, and you will notice Lance Franklin all 160cm of him popping up all over the place now....it's the modern game
  9. Now sorry I knew (in a biblical), a rather cute petite blonde from Leicester, as an Evertonian Lineker could get the blood flowing in me, but not as much as she could
  10. It is the mindset on here as to what a midfielder is, I want a midfielder who can go into the centre bounces, play on a wing, go forward , kick goals, defend at halfback....let me think James Kelly, Jimmy Bartel, Shaun Burgoyne, Nat Fyfe....this is what Roos meant
  11. Ok I will say it categorically, I think if we trade Watts it will be stupid, as we have spent this season reprogramming him, this still doesn't mean it won't happen though...not my choice, but would have thought if Roos thought that little of him he would be at Casey by now
  12. My point though, that is Ox's opinion, it is not a fact, unfortunately some posters on here assume the Ox has just come down the mountain with that written in stone
  13. This isn't about what has transpired previously, this is now, the Ox started the fire again, and now everybody is throwing petrol on the flames, that is my point
  14. No, not necessarily, the game is changing at a rapid rate, liked him as a player, not as a 'commentator/pundit.............bit like Brereton, absolute champion player, a repeater as a pundit......................Ox likes generating headlines, like all of them it keeps them in a job, nobody listens, he doesn't work...bit like Paul Gardner who they keep bringing out to make a comment, yes he was the Pres, but not a paid up member for at least the last 3 years...yet still feels he has the right to comment
  15. Actually he hates being interviewed, prefers his footy to do the talking, you notice it is slow and considered, thinks before he speaks so he doesn't say anything wrong, got a very dry sense of humour away from the camera
  16. I am dismissive because I far as I know most on here have never played or coached at AFL level, so have no idea what is required to perform at that level. Second point is a lot of it is not original, usually gleaned from one of the many Footy Talking Heads we have these days We also have posters who don't even watch the games pontificating If you put forward a well thought argument I will read it, if the post contains nothing but the usual bashing, what is the point? Ox who likes nothing more than creating a headline, it helps the ratings, started the Watts trade 'discussion' it is just being repeated on here
  17. I am dismissive because as far as I know most on here have never played or coached at AFL level, so have no idea what is required to perform at that level. 18. We reside where we are in the competition for a myriad of reasons that have been analysed/talked about/derided/debated etc etc ad infinitum......unfortunately during the period that this predicament has been germinating, Demonland has seen a steady increase in the knee jerk reaction postings I will give u a quick synopsis of how we got here, towards the end of Daniher's reign the team had stagnated and a lot of players were getting games on reputation, he left and Bailey was brought in, a coach who loved natural footballers and made sure we recruited them, unfortunately the game had moved on from where just footy ability could get you through, we also ditched too many senior players too quickly, and the team suffered, Bailey encountered Geelong at the height of their powers and left, Neeld and his big Malthouse nurtured stick were brought in to tidy up the mess, using Moneyball to try and plug the glaring gaps in the list, it didn't work......whilst this was going on, on the field, unfortunately behind the scenes in administration we had power struggles, ego clashes, terrible decisions etc etc....we now have a good Chairman, a really good CEO and an excellent coach to right the ship.......not everything that occurred was bad, but on Demonland that is all that is ever highlighted
  19. Smart and Demonland don't usually appear in the same sentence, Demonland has from last count about 30 players either traded or delisted, believe there is a collection being put together to pay out contracts
  20. A lot of these journalists? will turn out right in a lot of things, they, like us, have a 50/50 chance, good odds in the modern world King just rubs people up the wrong way because of, for want of a better word, his manner
  21. ...have they stagnated this season?....Trengove and Toumpas have spent most of it injured and all the hyperbole about the other two is just that
  22. I'll bite, I find the views expressed in some of your posts both 'enlightening and educational', whether they teach me anything is a matter of conjecture
  23. Oh dear, four pages of the same old same old because two talking heads decided to regurgitate the same old rubbish that's been floating around for the last six months, I'll tell you what I will ask Roos how much notice he takes of the media and their input/output/[censored]
  24. Burgo interviews the man himself http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2014-08-13/neville-jetta-signs-a-new-deal......
  25. Comparing the 3 is a bit of a pointless exercise, 3 completely different type players, Nev said they hate it being done anyway
