  1. I have spoken to him a couple of times this year, same with PJ, must be you Didn't say David N was working with the club tsk tsk get it right Again you still haven't told me the reasons teams between 1965 and say 2005 didn't win a flag, Cam Schwab, the VFL? the AFL? all the other teams were on drugs?
  2. I don't hang around the club, and I am not the curse, coz I only arrived in 77 and MFC had already had 13 years without a flag. I don't accept mediocrity, I wasn't a fan of the performance last week, nobody was, but it was last week, and I have moved on I expect us to win a flag, when we are good enough, we haven't been good enough since 1964, yet some posters keep reminding how good the teams have been before the last 7 or 8 years maybe they were but they weren't good enough Nobody, and I include the coaching staff, knows when we will be good enough, they are just working towards that goal Me, I just don't see the point of 15 pages of whinging after a loss, maybe some need the release, maybe they could have a [censored] instead, they might enjoy it more I prefer the other David's approach, he appears at Club functions, and if he is frustrated with the lavk of progress, which like the rest of us, I am sure he is, he keeps it to himself and doesn't chase a headline This years AGM I expect a glut of speakers to stand up and air their dissatisfaction, as if, and SWYL to nominate for Chairman, as obviously he thinks he can do a better job If somebody could let me know why teams containing Flower, Farmer, Viney, Davey, the Ox et al all failed to win a flag, I would be interested to know, to compare the reasons with the present team
  3. Came out via Qantas chasing a young blonde lady I had met on my travels in Europe. Discovered there were heaps of them here snd stayed discovered footy as well even saw the Ox play pity he can't help himself now .
  4. So I assume your opinion of the game at the weekend was based on what? Radio coverage Nothing like a bit of laughable racial vilification more Irish actually Inciteful training reports yes they do and I thank them mine aren't meant to be you are clutching at straws now Now come on try and really insult me
  5. Disrespectful to someone who gives time to the Club, you really are pathetic
  6. Yes I want a flag but it is not the be all and end all if it happens it happens I don't whinge after a loss I move on to the next game
  7. Sorry, can't chap, you keep reading my posts Why am I full of rubbish, why have we not won a flag for 54 years, can you explain, surely it wasn't like the last 10 years in the preceding 44 I didn't grow up with the game, I was taught to love the game by somebody who was, does that count? I didn't sit inside the club chap, I tried to do little bits that I thought would help right the ship, like a lot of others I was wrong and we sank But we are on the right track now, and hopefully the future is a bit brighter. Constant negativity is destructive, especially by keyboard warriors who hide, we have AGM's each year at the club, in the last 7 years, I have heard one dissenting voice, and that was about not recruiting taller players, so don't go on unless you want to come out from behind your keyboard and stand up for what you believe and publicly express it. I do as in the Barrett example, also had a dig at Mark Stevens for bias, and Dermott, but then again being Liverpudlian I don't bend over for anyone
  8. I have respect for the player, as I stated I have lost a bit of respect for him as a person, unfortunately he makes his money in the media, don't have much respect for any of them, all about them making the story now rather than reporting it Bit like yourself, try to engage you in discussions about footy, like other posters try and engage you, but all you spit is bile, and yet you accuse me of the very same thing, because I tried to knock one of your gods off his pedestal, even though I explained why, reread some of your posts You continually resort to name calling which is both puerile and childish, the only emotion that comes to mind with you, is that I feel really sorry for you
  9. Not all supporters are like that, I said on here, please don't misquote, unfortunately Demonland is home to a 'lot' of 'supporters' who only want a flag, you do read the posts? a lot can be 10 or 15 I don't disrespect opinions that are backed up with a good sensible argument as to why, in the posters opinion, the opinion is the correct one, unfortunately that doesn't happen too often on here, have a look at SWYL's well thought out responses to what I am asking. You can't respect an opinion if the poster doesn't want to debate the reasons, the norm is to just settle for personal insults, again read the latest posts. Unfortunately I also get bored with the 'nuff nuffs' now and again and can't resist baiting them, but I have tried to settle that down a bit lately, following Stuie's example I haven't followed the Dees all my life, but I have watched and played footy for 39 years, so I think I have hopefully gained a bit of an insight to the vagaries of the game
  10. No debate again SWYL, so why did the OX not lead the team to a flag? Or Robbie Flower, or Todd Viney (all great players) was it poor development? poor coaching? crap selection? the players not bleeding red and blue? You can't aspire to be mediocre SWYL, bit of an OXymoron there
  11. I thought it was about watching porn that wasn't very good
  12. Oh that's all right then. The Ox wants Demons success, love how he has returned to the club on many occasions and offered his assistance, no he has just sat on the sidelines sniping when it suits him, spoilt what he was as a player for me I am afraid that is what a lot want on here, the thing I find amusing it has been 52 years since a flag, and according to some on here the 'past' players were great and bled red and blue, not like the insipid lot we have now, so if they didn't win a flag, what was their excuse?
  13. Why what Ox do? Hit me? You are allowed to express an opinion to somebody as long as you do it the right way You really have spent your life bending over haven't you And the reasons he never held the premiership cup, like I asked?
  14. Yes I agree Ox was a good player, but now he is just another mouth in the competitive media market, yes I would, told Barrett to his face one of his 'stories' on MFC was crap, I don't hide behind a keyboard, you are only as good as your last headline in the media these days just as an aside did Ox ever hold the premiership cup for MFC or were there valid reasons he didn't, answers without emotion would be appreciated I watch and comment on footy for what it is SPORT
  15. He doesn't need to he has enough supporters on here, who will repeat his emotion filled rants, it's just footy, I will still have a good life if MFC don't win a flag in my time if they do it will be a bonus, will still go and watch the at Etihad, unlike some of the more emotional
  16. Exactlly why I don't listen to him. It does disgust me that he blows off in public though looking for a headline where we are at at the moment with the inexperience if Jones and Vince have ordinary games and the rest don't play as a team, we lose Carey had a go at this very thing but then said if he was to coach he would prefer us over the Saints because he had analysed not vented
  17. Switzerland beautiful scenery but as boring as some posters posts As for the French use the Canadian example they could have had French Culture, English Administration and American know how, instead they got French administration, American culture and English know how Daisy shows Bec Madden how it should be done, but then again she didn't have to put up with those 2 misogynist clowns Newman and Brownlesd
  18. Deejunior "Mummy, Daddy says those Hawks are being bullies again" DeeMum "If you want to replace them, you need to learn to play like them" Deejunior "But Daddy says they don't play nice" DeeMum "Well if you don't, you may as well keep bending over like Daddy has for the last few years"
  19. Hypocrisy rules again.....whinge whinge about Hawthorn, they play on the edge and as a team, I want to see Melbourne play that way going forward, it is successful
  20. Nice input into the topic it's the musculature and tatts that get me
  21. Personally I don't rate Hurley have an Essendon supporter who thinks the same, before the disaster he was part of a good defensive unit prefer to develop our own Prestia has not been the same since injuries hit perhaps has reached his ceiling we now have a surfeit of midfielders who can play a role certainly wouldn't offer up Kent OMeara want to see what he is like post injury at least 10 or 15 games
  22. Can somebody give me a breakdown as to why we require Prestia he hasn't set the world on fire up to now yes he is a good player
  23. That's my point, I don't think Prestia is worth Kent, if that makes sense, Kent has finally got a injury free run at it, he has so much potential, to get rid of him now borders on insanity......I know the game is won and lost in the midfield but how many do we want, and small fwds are pretty much covered for me as well..............
  24. Ah, posters with no idea about footy trying to trade out Kent, Goodwin and Roos who have played him all season, must be laughing their socks off Meatball is a good player but seriously
  25. So a fast developing ruck who is a real student of the game, will not have learnt from the last time?
