Que? , he was a number 1 draft pick, should be entering his.prime and playing high standard consistent footy , 1 top 5 finish in B&F, not picked because of training standards, dropped again try comparing him to Viney not sure which bit you don't get I love him as a player and bloke but can see the rut Goodwin alludes to

2017 Player Reviews: # 39 Neville Jetta
Satyriconhome replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It was actually Roos, Nev had a miserable run through injury and being played out of position, went on to thrive under Rawlings as a defender Goodwin, as he does with most players, will move the goalposts again for Nev this year, as he did last year when he 'demanded' Nev involve himself in attack more when opportunity arose -

How many VFL games did you watch him play? -
I was striving for condescending, but never mind next time

How dare they be not as good one on one as Rance or Grundy or Talia and less than 50 games between them, grow up, Omac got better as the year wore on
-
They are part of the picture, not the be all and end all Judd didn't bring the success for Carlton and Dangerfield for Geelong coz you need 21 others But let me ask you this, would you have liked us to trade in Grigg and Houli when the were available?
-
Rubbish, who do you think he will be playing alongside, Omac and Frost were re signed, they will take any key fwd allowing Lever to play the same role he did at Adelaide

The games he played for GWS in the NEAFL were the reason we traded him, watched him as a youngstet and we ensured he hadn't gone backwards, I asked Proper development now, took the opportunity when off legs to rebuild him from ground up, put on 5kg of muscle, also like Vanders spent time in Casey coaches box as a 'learning' experience Another player who like the other young ones could be anything or nothing, time will tell -
Selective posting interesting that Roos, Goodwin, Viney, Taylor input into these deals is not mentioned

Nearly right, have opinions on players, don't always share them, but in this case Watts, agree with FD , for whatever reason is not where he should be in terms of consistency of performance after 9 years and can understand where Goody is coming from If he goes, he goes, 22 make a team, support whoever is on the field in that 22 representing the Red and Blue I find most threads amusing, some of the unintended hilarity is breathtaking

I am not sure what you and some others on here don't get, it is 2017 going into 2018 Goody will each week pick a 22 who are in form and fit, and able to play a role to a high standard Yes there may be one or two that may get picked on reputation and past performance, but if you don't play your role, you won't get picked, surely the Watts' situation tells you that much The challenge for JKH and every other player is to be one of those 22 picked on a consistent basis We had the situation last year where ANB and Harmes hardly appeared in a 'best 22' listing on here pre season, remind me how many games they played again? -

It's a forum, so I don't agree with some 'opinions' on players, whether JKH can do what is asked of him, and I know what that is, coz I have talked to him, only time will tell, but obviously the FD think he is worth giving a year to, to try I never stopped wearing 39 on my jumper coz I knew Nev would make it, think, like a couple of coaches, there is something with in JKH, we'll see -

It's also true of this site that players are written off and then surprise, ANB Jetta and Hunt being 3 in recent times JKH has a preseason to impress and get into the AFL side and stay there -

The FD think different, have spoken to him, knows exactly what he needs to do this year, if he doesn't he is out the door In last final, went to half back and was instrumenta in getting Casey back in game -
