A game we had to win, were favourites and didn't come to play. Whereas we're not favourites today don't really rate Geelong and if we bring the right attitude we should be right in it. Hopefully winning.
One thing that will really annoy today, if Hibberd keeps kicking his long bombs to no one that seem to hang in the air forever, allowing the defenders to zone off. Has he lowered his eyes ever ?
Trouble is three of the players you've named have tenuous claims to getting a game at best. ANB (faded like the rest against Carlton). Weid and Brown still not showing enough. as someone else posted about TMac, there is no one else
One thing thats become obvious with selection this year, names and reputations mean nothing. Selectors will pick what they regard as the best side regardless.
Oh, and some of the criticisms on here would be better left until after the game.
The only thing that matters is what they can bring this Sunday and what they have become is fragile. We need to be able to sustain the pressure though but if we do it for long enough they will crack.
Yes, the game has changed and so has the training. Those stars from yesteryear would obviously be trained for the modern game, not be stuck in some training time warp from the 1990's . Off course they'd be stars today.
I'm a TMac fan Saty, but he's struggling and we need him back in form.
Scratch match I know but I Think key forwards Brown ( presents and knows how to get amongst the goals) and TMac (involved in some good chains up the ground). Finally some form from Melksham.
There is no form line so far this year. Most clubs don't seem to be able to come to play week to week or even quarter to quarter, and then you have WC sooking it up about the hubs.
I was actually up in Darwin for the match. Weideman had quite a solid game, took about 4 contested marks and was well involved in the game. It was certainly not on him that we lost. We kicked 1.8 in the last quarter as player after player turned what should have been a 4 or 5 goal win into a loss. One of the most frustrating games ever.
